Imagine what WWE could have done with Mike Sanders mic skills and persona thru actual marketing. At the time he wouldn't have fit(they had Rock, HHH, Austin etc) but given the right time frame the guy was pro ready but WCW try as they might, could not make him a superstar.

When I was a kid I really thought there'd be some grand reveal of what "SOL" meant.

I liked Mike Sanders, if only for his hilariously crap nickname
"Mr Above Average"
He didn't think much of himself did he?

What was the deal with Sanders' 'Above Average' nickname and his finisher, titled 'The C+'?

What was the deal with Sanders' 'Above Average' nickname and his finisher, titled 'The C+'? Close... It was the 3.0. So, Mike Sanders was a "B" Player.

I think it was an inside joke about his size vs his charisma. Plus he was sort of a slackerish I dont care attitude at first but he got over by over achieving so it didn't really come off that well.

Seems the perfect time to post this. Some rare and colourful language from Mean Gene.

Just looked into this. Yikes. Just yikes. What happened? They faced Rey Mysterio and her in a elimination match and she ended up pinning all of them by herself.

It was "PerfectShawn" Stasiak who feuded with Curt Hennig in an attempt to steal the copyright-friendly Perfect persona. He even had the blatant ripoff theme. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrooK-Kxzn4

I wonder too about why the guys who were chosen were chosen. I would assume it's because this were the guys they thought were most ready but let's face it, knowing WCW, they could have just picked the names out of a hat. Makes me wonder if other guys in the PowerPlant, like Chris Harris or Sonny Siaki, were considered.

Yea I liked them. Maybe i'm just a fan of stables. Weird how Palumbo was the only to maintain an extended presence in the WWE (Language warning) Seems the perfect time to post this. Some rare and colourful language from Mean Gene. lmao

I'm certain, because Sanders didn't debut until Hennig was out of the company. That, and I remember Sanders debuting by using Jeff Jarrett's guitar on Crowbar, and then he became the butt of a running joke where he got laid out in the back by Daffney, Jeff Jarrett (pissed about the gimmick infringement), and Positively Kanyon.

The joke is on WWE for getting rid of Jindrak, because he's become a pretty successful star in Mexico. No idea why they got rid of him, he was pretty good, especially for his age when they brought him in, and he had the very sort of look that Vince McMahon dreams of.

Jindrak explains: "I wasn't ready for Evolution at that time in my career," Jindrak admitted on his Twitter. "I was immature and Batista fit better. It was mine to lose and I dropped the ball. But since then I've matured and understood why I missed that chance and it's helped me in my career which ended up in CMLL in Mexico."

They were some of the first guys in my young age where I thougth "jesus these guys are stiffs." The Natural Born Thrillers made me a smark, and I will never forgive them for it.
Johnny The Bull was cool though.

OK, I believe you. It's been a long time (and while I was still regularly watching WCW at that point), my mind has become fuzzy on some things that happened in that era with the company (How couldn't it... With the plots changing every episode?!?!).
