What did you think of one of WCW and Vince Russo's more ambitious plans in 2000 to simply throw a bunch of PowerPlant guys out there on TV and see what happens? Palumbo, O'Haire, Stasiak, Jindrak, and Stamboli all had 'the look' in terms of size, while Mike Sanders had the microphone skills and presence and Reno was...Reno. Also I'm not sure why they took Johnny out of the Mamalukes to put him in here. It seemed pretty telling though that after buying WCW, WWF/E sent all of these dudes, sans Palumbo and Stasiak (who had already spent 6 months on WWF TV) down to development for 1-2 years. O'Haire and Jindrak always seemed like the two biggest potential breakout stars of the group, but O'Haire couldn't capitalize on his big chance in 03 (and WWE booking is certainly in part to blame) and Jindrak never really found a purpose. Also if you can successfully follow their history as documented on wikipedia without getting a headache, you are a stronger man than I.

I thought O'Haire was the only decent one of the group.

Loved Johnny the Bull, Reno, and Sean O'Haire. I thought Sanders was decent but the whole Above Average thing was kinda weird. That said, I thought JTB and O'Haire would have become massive stars. JTB had freakish strength and agility while O'Haire had a great look and could move in the ring. I really thought they were on to something giving O'Haire the Devil's Advocate stuff but damned if he didn't blow it (couldn't cut a promo in front of the crowd to save his life and was nuts outside the ring). I still cannot figure out how JTB never got to at least midcard level anywhere.

Given that it was WCW 2000 the Thrillers were a more tolerable group than a lot of the other stuff going on at the time. While a lot of the guys were unpolished, I dug the O'Haire/Jindrak and Palumbo/Stasiak teams, and Sanders was great as a smarmy heel prick.

I loved them:
The good:
Mike Sanders: Incredibly underrated. Could work the microphone really well, decent in ring. He was good
Chuck Palumbo: Again, Underrated. Good look, could do some crazy stuff for a big guy
Sean O'Haire: The more overrated member of the group, Palumbo always stood out to me more but O'Haire was good as well.
Mark Jindrak: He was good. Never was going to be main event but a decent Midcarder I could see working
The bad:
Johnny The Bull: Good look and would do some crazy spots but he didn't fit in
Reno: Had a cool look, that was about it
Shawn Stasiak: I like Stasiak but he wasn't a Powerplant guy so he didn't fit

Hated these guys. Mike Sanders was like proto Kennedy for me, in that I didn't see the appeal at all. Dude was bullshit IMO.
Jindrak and Palumbo were okay and that's about it for me.
Reno deserved every ass kicking for his haircut.

I marked for them but they shouldn't have been heels, aside from Sanders who was born to be one. Like a co-worker that you hate but gets paid a few grand more than you despite doing less work.
I thought Palumbo and O'Haire were a great tag team. I was marking pretty hard for them when they appeared during the InVasion.
GLAD I STUCK WITH THAT ONE, EH? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Johnny The Bull was the best thing about that group.

Tygress buried them at whatever Nitro episode that was after Fall Brawl.

thought it was way too many guys. thought it was dumb to shuffle the two teams for no apparent reason.

In a fantasy booking of WCW if it hadn't gone out of business, a friend of mine and I eventually booked Mike Sanders as world champion and the leader of a new Four Horsemen, Sean O'haire as a follower to an undertaker ministry type Sting, and Mark Jindrak with essentially what was Randy Ortons legend killer gimmick.

I liked Jindrak & Ohaire, and Johnny the Bull. Reno was the first guy I remember seeing use the "Roll of the Dice", so I thought that was pretty cool. The rest I never really cared for.

Good bunch of young talent, poorly handled. All of them had potential, especially Sanders, O'Haire and Jindrak, but they were just nameless faceless rookies for the most part.
And switching around the Jindrak/O'Haire, and Stasiak/Palumbo teams never made any sense to me.

Best thing about them was their feud with Mene Gene.
