Damn, Big Show's a beast.
And Cena's is less than I thought it'd be.

Basically, an article to put over Big E. Langston. Interesting, nonetheless.

...Damn I was hoping there would be at least ONE of those that I could go "HAH, I LIFT MORE THAN..." but I'm losing to all of them. I can barely touch 300, let alone the monstrosity those guys do. Gotta train some more, I guess.

Cesaro has the right idea, functional strength and overall conditioning/body strength is much more important than a massive bench press.
Big E. is a beast though.

I'd be more interested to know the Divas... I bet most guys can't get close to what Kaitlyn, Tamina, Natalya, Alicia or Aksana can lift.

Max Benchpress sounds like a promising new NXT gimmick, he could be a big star one day.

Big E is a freak of nature, and I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Kinda surprised they didn't ask Henry for his max.

Did they show footage of Vince in his office furiously masturbating to this?

Cesaro's got a point, benching's nice and all, but there's other lifts which are more functional and impressive.

Not pictured in this article was the image of Daniel Bryan lifting weights. * This image might reflect the views of one Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

none of these little girls could have lifted a 1400 pounds André The Giant in front of 346 000 people back in the days brother!

Max bench press is interesting, but the number of reps at high weights is more impressive to me.
For the NFL Combine, guys lift 225 pounds as many times as they can. Stephen Paea of Oregon State I think has the record at 49 reps -- which means sustained strength rather than just one but burst and you're done.
I remember Evander Holyfield worked out with the Atlanta Falcons for a time. He weighed about 210-215 pounds during that time. They had a contest with the 225 and I don't recall the numbers but he beat every single one of them in reps.

What got me was Big Show saying the first time he benched, he lifted 350.
That's crazy, not working up to 350 but starting with it.

Big E. certainly is impressive, but I dunno, I find it more impressive that guys like Show and Swagger were able to do so many reps.

Bench press has been so overrated that it's officially snuck back into underrated territory. Some impressive numbers there. Cesaro, like others said, had a pretty good answer. I think I've seen videos of him going nuts with dead lifts.
I really wish they included some jobbers/mid-carders.
