Gotta say I did not expect to see this as our final three. Should be very interesting to see who survives here.
And yeah, I can understand why you would turned off by the "death vocals" in my last song, Waffel. Truth be told I was a little worried those might turn some of the judges off myself. Glad I managed to avoid the sing-off again though.

Votes are in...and god help me, one of you has introduced me to a song I need for my MP3 Player, and an artist I might actually like if they always sound like that

We have five votes from the judges, if we include Waffel. Waffel stepped up last Round and I think it would be a good idea to make him a permanent judge. One judge has been rather busy of late and, though that judge is more than welcome to contribute when he can, I'm not sure when next he'd be able to judge. Cage has also said that he might step down as a judge. Everyone has their commitments, so it's understandable. As long as we can keep the game moving, then I have no problem rotating judges (and myself as a Host, if necessary) when we have to. Just as long as the judging remains fair and timely. Well, we had three contestants battling it out in this particular Sing-Off. Jazzman chose Brandon Marsalis and Joey Calderazzo's Hope, Pegasus Warrior selected Third Eye Blind's Semi-Charmed Life, and Square brought us Paolo Nutini's Last Request. The voting broke down into 2-2-1, making this Sing-Off very close indeed. The judges have elected not to use the Save. The eliminated contestant had a fantastic chance of winning this Season and the two remaining contestants could very well meet in the Finale. We have three competitors who have won a total of 3 out of 8 Seasons of FAN Idol, competitors who should always be considered among the favorites to win whenever they choose to play. So, great job fellows, you made this a very difficult Sing-Off. The two Idol Contestants moving on, receiving 2 votes a piece, are.... {Spoiler}{Spoiler} Pegasus Warrior!!!
and
Square!!!
That means that, unfortunately, Jazzman, you will not be Season IX's FAN Idol. You're a maverick, we all know that. It's not easy to play the way that you do, to have that musical knowledge in the first place and then to decide not to compromise your tastes. I find myself doing that whenever I play, so I know that it's a tough thing to keep true to your own style.
Jazzman adds so much to every Season that he plays. Everyone, please give a hand for Jazzman!!!

I knew Jazzman chose the Jazz song . Rankings HERE: {Spoiler}Use the Save: No. There can be only...well, two in this case.
Early thoughts (1 for each song): -Jazzman is in the Sing Off, "Hope" is a Jazz song (A VERY LONG Jazz song). Coincidence? Probably. -The music video for "Last Request" swerved me good. -I knew "Semi-Charmed Life" sounded familiar when I saw the title.
Winning Song: This was pretty tough. All three songs have their subtractions. Hope has it's length working against it, Last Request is iffy lyrically in my opinion, Semi-Charmed Life can get a bit iffy musically. However, they all have their merits: Paolo Nutini himself has a wonderful voice, the music in Hope is fantastic, and Semi-Charmed Life has that ear worm quality. Overall, I have to give the duke to... -Paolo Nutini- Last Request
Rankings (Ties and all that) 1. Last Request 2. Hope 3. Semi-Charmed Life

We could edit your OP or have a mod move an updated one from me to the first page. With the longer thread lengths, it might be easier just to have one thread.

Drat! Bittersweet: the game brought us together and it's through this game I've gained a huge appreciation for everyone who takes part. But it also means I hate eliminations more and more each time. (Part of the game, so don't let me get too maudlin, BUT it just means I have to wait until another game to get tunes I don't always think of from round to round.) Jazzman and many of our contestants--already eliminated too00 brings it like that.

Hey Jazzman, I got you a trumpet so that even when you are out of the game you can still blow! I'M THE GREATEST, SCREW THE NATION OF POLAND I'M GOING TO WIN IT ALL!
I say in jest this, not the winning part but the buying you a trumpet. Too cheap for that

Jazzman and many of our contestants--already eliminated too00 brings it like that. That was a Sing-Off for the ages too. A lot of FAN/Wrestlecrap Idol history went into that one and, yeah, I don't think it's silly to call it history. That was a Wrestlemania Streak level match-up . Even without adding you to the Sing-off, Jazzman vs. Square is like Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels in terms of players. Even if the Save was used, we'd eventually have another "holy crap" show down like that later. If Jazzman does intend to Host the next Season, that was, imo, a great way to go out. 7 out of 15 songs are in for Round 13: Moving Pictures

Well, as that guy it's always expected that I'm never going to come close to winning one of these things. That's fine though, it's fun testing your listening skills. Funny that Square used Paolo Nutini as I was thinking whatever ever happened to that guy yesterday... really.

He sang in the Olympics last year, and has a 3rd album out this year. Also I believe he was asked to do the Voice UK

9 songs out of 15 are in for Round 13: Moving Pictures. The winner of this Round will have the option of sending an additional song for the next Round, the theme of which will be revealed once the judges' receive this Round's songs.

Where do we stand on songs folks? If you haven't guessed by now, I'm super excited for this round. Still sitting on 9 songs. However, we'll probably get more when it gets closer to Raw. After a while, I'll notify (yell at) people about the Round. Until then, have a Waffle Hat:
