I am recently thinking about switching to comcast. I have had Dish and AT&T for the past 3 years. I am happy with Dish, but AT&T's internet is so slow. Comcast has a package which will cost about $5 less and at least twice as fast internet. Even when the promo is over I think it is still cheaper because of the internet speed.
Do anyone have any experience with using these companies?

Dish + Comcast is my current arrangment. I've had very few problems with either and in most cases they're resolved in the first phone call/chat. Worth the $ to me.

I currently have Dish tv and comcast internet. I have been way more happy with Dish than I ever thought I would be, but it's not really any cheaper when having all of the packages that we have and the internet offered was the worst thing ever. It had an allowance of bandwith that f***ing sucked. It was like a hundred bucks a month and literally ran slower than dial up.

Comcast here has 1080P cable. It used top be that Direct TV was the only place you can get that. Since I purchased my own modem + airport extreme, I get consistant 57Down/11up speed.

I have Comcast only because Directv is not available in my apt. I can not stand the cable service. I love the internet, but cable is ridiculously expensive. I pay 200 a month for cable and internet, plus I only have HD in one room. I need to get out of here so I can ditch Comcast.

dish and direct tv are different. dish now offers the hopper which you can dvr 6 shows at once. comcast has way better ondemand features. dish has cool channels that i never had with comcast such as chiller and epix/epix drive in.

Never actually had it but I would say go with Dish. I used to have Comcast and I hated it. At the time they pretty much had a monopoly on cable here and as a result could do whatever they wanted to without any consequences. The service was terrible and they were always dropping channels and raising rates. Any time a new cable service would want to start up they would put up so many legal roadblocks that the other companies would just say never-mind. The think that eventually turned me against Comcast though was a stunt they pull on my dad. One day he got a letter in the mail saying they were dropping both Encore and TCM. My dad's favorite channel was TCM and he went ballistic. When he called them to ask what the deal was they basically told him "We don't care what you want. We are going to drop it and there is nothing you can do about it" Eventually we decided to just drop cable and go to over the air TV which we used for about two years. Finally we got DirecTV who we had for several years but they pulled some stunts with me that soured me on them. Thankfully back in 2008 our electric company wanted to get into the cable business and dealt with all of Comcast's road blocks and that is what I use and I love it.

Well, I think I am going to keep DiSH and drop AT&T. I've only heard good things about Comcast internet.

I hate how all the cable companies have to include phone. I just want cable and internet but they insist I have to get it bundled with phone. Had this problem with Verizon and Charter.
