Feel free to comment or agree/disagree but I think the current TNA Championship storyline will be going as follows:
In a re-hash of Survivor Series 1998 Deadly Game, heel Dixie has already handpicked her Champion, and in the place of The Rock we will see Magnus. To me, thus far this works quite well.
However, trying to also use the Bret Hart 1997 storyline, Magnus will be recognised as TNA Champion and will be a heel against the likes of AJ and Hardy, but in the UK (a massive market for TNA) Magnus will be a celebrated babyface.
Eventually obviously this will come down to an AJ - Magnus rivalry with one of them becoming undisputed TNA World Champion.
Could this work?

Yes, but given it's TNA I expect it to be half-assed and continued long after the appeal is gone.

See I'm thinking we are teased with Magnus but get Storm or Angle as the heel.

Sounds interesting but can TNA afford to go to the UK anymore?

TNA doesn't tour enough in the UK or international to make Magnus into a Bret Hart type of character. Plus factor in that Brits aren't just going to cheer for you because you're British. You got to earn their love. Magnus is the British Guy in TNA. What little of his current character is becomes meaningless once back in his homeland.
