If TNA pays the bill for one "contractor" then they would have to pay for all of them. That is their concern.

TNA had absolutely no obligation to assist Ion in paying his hospital bills.
But those who are defending TNA with the rainy day fund nonsense seem to have missed the part where they chastised the man for asking for money he did not have. TNA, GTFO.

If TNA pays the bill for one "contractor" then they would have to pay for all of them. That is their concern. TNA may or may not be morally wrong for refusing to help (IMO, I consider them in the wrong in this matter because, even taking out the issue of paying the bills, they didn't even mention the fundraiser on TV or try to help in any way whatsoever.) However, no one can justify TNA getting mad at the guy for attempting to raise money on his own. They go from being just "indifferent" to actually trying to screw the guy over on that alone.

They didn't even need to do a few shows without Hogan. The fundraiser for Ion was $30,000. One show without Hogan hogging the spotlight and the fundraiser wouldn't have been necessary. I was assuming his overall expenses were more than $30k and that was just what he was asking for to cover part of them. But, you are right. One show. 2 shows. He got paid per appearance meaning per show. TNA tapes 2 episodes in 1 night so that counts as one appearance.

Good to hear he doesn't have cancer. As far as the TNA garbage, he just needs to work somewhere else. He's probably not making much more, if any, than working indies. I think if he can't get into WWE, he should try ROH, that seems to be the door into the WWE anyways. He would easily make as much, if not, eventually more working there and would have a better chance of getting into the WWE. When was the last time the WWE hired someone out of TNA that wasn't a former employee? TNA is a death trap for young wrestlers, wait too long you become AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels.
