Glad to hear he didn't have cancer. WWE should give him a shot. IMO, he's got more personality and a better look than a lot of the smaller guys they have under contract now. Not sure if they'd hold the Jesse Sorensen thing against him. I'd hope not.

What in the actual f***? "How dare you make our company look bush-league by asking for money that we refuse to give you!!!" Like...HUH?! That's so shady.

...I guess this explains why he's back in IWC. I'm not complaining - his fued with Justin Labarr and RJ City has been more entertaining than his entire TNA run - but his sudden reappearence was a bit odd.

From what little I saw of him, he seemed like someone who definitely knows what it means to be a heel. I could see WWE giving him a shot.

On the bright side, at least TNA are letting guys control their outside dates again. Not sure if the "nothing that is going to be on DVD" rule still applies, though.

Zema had the audacity to need money to pay for sudden sickness. Next time, plan out your illness.

Zema appeared on an IWC dvd as Shima Zion so either TNA dropped the rule or he's not long for TNA.

It's nice to know that when the guy was faced with CANCER and tens of thousands in hospital costs he couldn't pay, someone at TNA compounded the situation by making his worry about his job and letting him know he had a ton of heat.

Considering all the crap TNA's pulled, I find it laughable that they think they need anyone else to make them look bush league. They do such a wonderful job accomplishing that on their own.

Just get sick and die, don't make the company look bad.
Man, TNA. What a place. Hope he does make it to WWE. Say what you will about Vince, he'd never let that happen with one of his guys.

Zema had the audacity to need money to pay for sudden sickness. Next time, plan out your illness. Rainy Day Fund Definitions Rainy day fund, rainy day reserve, or emergency fund are terms used to describe a reserved amount of money to be used in times when regular income is disrupted or decreased in order for typical operations to continue.

Correct he should be prepared in his line of work but A. It was probably a ton of money and B. That doesn't negate the fact that TNA kind of reacted poorly to it if in fact they were upset they made them look bad. Zema had to do what he had to do regardless of whether or not he should have been prepared. He wasn't, so you go to plan B then.

The normal advised rainy day fund is 3 months salary, I was considered exceptional because I had much more than that saved up. An emergency medical procedure for the average person runs much, much, much, much more than that. He may have had a rainy day fund, but there's a long way to go from having that and having money to pay for catastrophic injury. For most people his age, expecting him to have that much saved up is entirely unrealistic. It's not called a "meteor strike apocalypse fund," it's meant for things like unexpected car repairs.

Sorry but health care costs can kill any rainy day fund. You can save 90k but a stint in the hospital for a week eat that all away. Especially if you have no medical insurance.

That's what insurance is for... and he'd have to have insurance if tna dropped the silly "independent contractor" or paid him more money..

How many 26 year old's who just finished college have $30,000 in savings?
Obviously you can't blame TNA for his health issues. However:
1) refusing to offer health insurance 2) not paying enough to wrestlers to afford it on their own 3) getting mad at the guy when he has to beg online because he didn't have insurance
Makes them the bad guys here.
Reminds me of that recent story about McDonalds being irate when it came out that they were telling workers to apply for food stamps if they were struggling to get by on their meager wages.
If you don't want to be outed for awful behavior, don't act awful in the first place.

Nice definition there, that changes everything. Maybe instead of running beyond their means, TNA should have a "rainy day fund" to take care of their employees when they're sick. The truth hurts, TNA. You are bush-league.

My God, with all due respect, that is a ridiculous viewpoint. Ion doesn't get paid enough to get insurance or a rainy day fund and has just finished college so I'm sure he's broke with student loans as well.

I mean, I had to go into the emergency ward a couple of weeks and it cost me over a thousand dollars. Medical Expenses are ridiculous if you don't have health insurance. EDIT: Anyways, as a person at the bottom of the spectrum, 30k is probably at least 9 months pay for Ion.

IIRC, Sorensen told a story in his shoot about getting chased down by a debtor for $38,000. And that was a fraction of the cost for his first night there.
