Make all the no selling jokes you want, but the Wolves would be an amazing addition to WWE's tag division.

Can they just sign Eddie? He seems like he'd mesh with most of the roster, unlike Richards who seems to hit moves just because they look good to him.

I'm a proud, card carrying member of the He Man Davey Richards Haters Club, but I have a morbid curiosity to see him signed if only to see what his name generator given name would be, and to see him possibly be "misused" (think how some of us bitch about guys like Bryan, etc., except in Richards' case, we're all happy about it).

Edwards and Richards aren't as uncharismatic as some would say. Richards has just had a persona that doesn't allow for a lot of goofing off. Davey in PWG, in the short lived Team Statutory proved that.
Eddie I'd say is slightly less charismatic, but he keeps himself out of trouble and seems like a genuinely good person who works his ass off and deserves a shot. Also, in Edwards case, I know he'd still probably count as a light heavyweight/cruiserweight, but I think he's closer in stature to someone like Jericho. I know he's definitely taller than Davey.
Also, even if one or neither of them get signed, I'd like to think Davey especially can take something away from the experience working with guys like Steamboat and Smiley for a while.
Last but not least, I feel like Roderick Strong deserves the opportunity the most but I figure it would have happened by now if it was going to at all.

Can someone explain why Davey has such a crummy reputation? Same here all i ever am told is that he doesn't sell Besides the two incidents already mentioned... There is also the entire Evolve situation. A company of Gabe Sapolsky's he was going to start with a fellow named Bryan Danielson. Well this Bryan fellow gets signed to the E. Davey is unhappy and bitching about RoH and Gabe liked him so he decides to bring Davey in as the face of the company and a partial owner. Davey signs on to do a show with RoH on Wrestlemania weekend when DGUSA/Evolve were running a show also without telling any of his business partners until they read about it. This wasn't just Davey screwing a promoter over for cash, it was Davey screwing a business partner over for cash. Oh and it should be noted that just the year before and part of the reason he wanted out of RoH was at the ROH Wrestlemania weekend shows Davey got in trouble because he was alotted ten minutes for a match and since he thought he was better than ten minutes he went about 18 and threw a fit. Then he insisted on a microphone to say that's what Ring of Honor is all about, because he was pissed at the direction the company was taking post Gabe. You see a show shouldn't be just about the money if it cuts into Davey's greatness, but then again if Davey decides to screw you over for money you have to realize it's just a business. Davey is the poster boy for self delusional mark. I mean people say Bret or Hogan are marks for themselves but at least they have some reason to be self marks. Davey just beats up kids or goes off script to f*** up the show for everyone else to prove himself.

So if his WWE tryout (or potential run) turns to custard will Davey put his money where his mouth is and try his hand at MMA.

I see Davey getting the Low Ki treatment, even if he does manage to keep most of his behaviour in check, he'll still manage to upset someone in management because he's not someone who seems like a WWE guy... He's already waging an uphill battle on that front because they feel they have enough workrate indy guys.

I want Richards to job to the 3MB if he does get called up and I would love for Eddie to get a steady mid-card gig.

If Davey wants to get anywhere, he has to get rid of those f***ing tattoos or cover them up somehow. I'm not saying the ones he has are any worse than something like Hoyt's magic horns, but they're the very definition of an ill thought out decision.

I don't know anything about this team but I do like the name American Wolves. I expect WWE to generic it up though to something lame though.

Well the American Wolves, while good wrestlers, are pretty damn generic themselves. Though both have shown charisma at other points. As for people asking about Davey, guy just has a huge ego. A few years ago (just before Bryan signed with WWE) Davey was pretty much named the next big thing in the indies and it went to his head. Some of the stunts he's pulled got a New Japan gig taken away from him (when New Japan wanted to build him up as an opponent for Prince Devitt). He also pretty much whines at the end of every year about being tired of the business and saying he's going to retire (he did this once to force ROH to give him a title). As for Eddie... good worker, but unless it's with Davey (American Wolves) or Roderick Strong (Dojo Bros) I don't see why WWE or TNA would want him by himself

I like Eddie a lot, hopefully he gets signed and does well. I don't really care one way or the other about Davey.

I sort of understand all the hate for Davey. However, I met him a couple of years ago and he was a really sweet dude. Seemed very down to earth and had a real appreciation for his fans and the people who came to watch the show. Whatever he does outside of the 'entertainment aspect' of wrestling is up to him (There's no way anything that gets pulled on promotors and the like in the indies will/or can happen in WWE). I really hope that he takes this opportunity and runs with it. He's a phenomenal performer and at the end of the day, that's all we should really care about. Did he entertain us? Yes? YAY!!! No? Boo!!!
Both wrestlers should be signed IMO.

Davey just beats up kids or goes off script to f*** up the show for everyone else to prove himself. wrong. Davey did not screw over Dragon Gate USA (there were no EVOLVE shows that weekend), Gabe Sapolsky did. DGUSA, which was created to showcase the Dragon Gate wrestlers in America, announced Davey, the hottest wrestler in ROH at the time, and The Young Bucks, who were still working regularly for ROH, as the first three wrestlers signed to compete for the DGUSA WrestleMania weekend shows several months in advance as basically a "F*** YOU!" to ROH. Davey was under an ROH contract at the time, and ROH was willing to allow him to compete on both the ROH and DGUSA shows that weekend, but Gabe Sapolsky, butthurt about being fired from ROH, was not and said he could compete only for DGUSA that weekend. having their hand forced, ROH offered Davey a raise to sign a longer contract with ROH (which did and does run a hell of a lot more frequently than DGUSA, EVOLVE and FIP put together) and in exchange he'd pull out of the Dragon Gate USA shows that weekend. Sapolsky, being double butthurt now, dropped him not only from DGUSA, but also from EVOLVE, which they were not partners of. all Gabe had to do was agree to let him compete for ROH as well that weekend, and instead tried to get into a dick measuring contest with ROH and lost (in addition Davey & The Bucks, he also offered discounts to people who already bought tickets for the ROH shows to come to the DGUSA shows instead) and its his fault, not Davey's, that Davey Richards left DGUSA and EVOVLE.

I think the Wolves would be an great addition to the tag divison or both could be great single competitors, and people seem to forget back when he was in ROH, Bryan Danielson was constantly called bland and too small for the WWE, now look at him, so never say never.
