Judge it however you want - how many people it's put down, how many people have (or haven't) kicked out of it, etc.

Easily the DDT. No one in WWF/E history ever kicked out of it. Taker recovered after like ten-fifteen seconds when Jake didn't cover, but in ring, once hit, and once he covered, Jake won every time.

I'd probably say the Sharpshooter. Its most famous use (well, besides maybe Montreal) was a guy completely passing out in it, and to my knowledge I don't think anyone ever actually broke out of Bret's in WWE.

My vote would have to be either the Jackhammer or the Peoples' elbow...
I don't recall anyone kicking out of either, despite plenty of people kicking out of the rock bottom.

Tombstone, for consistently beating main eventers in one shot for the majority of Taker's run.

Its most famous use (well, besides maybe Montreal) was a guy completely passing out in it, and to my knowledge I don't think anyone ever actually broke out of Bret's in WWE. Taker powered out of it at Summer Slam '97 with his legs and flung Bret across the ring. Owen Hart also countered it into a sharpshooter of his own; although I don't know if that'd be considered breaking it, so much as transitioning out of it.

No one kicked out of the DDT Now that I think on it, you're right. Sadly, it's been nerfed to the point that it's a mid-match 2 count now.

The Rough Ryder. Nobody has ever kicked out of it. Now, you may argue that this is only because the only people Ryder has ever hit them against are jobbers and everyone else ducks from it, but until proven otherwise I'll argue forever that it is the strongest finisher in WWE history.
...But yeah, the DDT.

I just realized from this thread how relatively "weak" most of the finishers are. There isn't one on here I haven't seen kicked out of.
Does The Punt not count? That's more of a "plot device" I guess.

I'd go with Angle's ankle lock. Everyone tapped out to that

I think that'd be an interesting gimmick... a terrible wrestler armed with a one and done finisher, guaranteed 3 count every time. The drama being whether or not he can hit it.

Stone Cold Stunner...unless he was heel or your name was The Rock or HHH it was a guaranteed win.

Probably Tombstone Piledriver, but I also voted for the Atomic Legdrop as a close second. It beat several of the all time greats. The big thing against the Tombstone is that for a significant portion of the Undertaker's WWE career...he didn't use it. Biker Taker used it very, very rarely and Classic Taker simply couldn't use it with a lot of the people he feuded with, like Giant Gonzales and Yokozuna. Great Khali also presented the same problem. Granted, those three may be the only examples and my theory may be torn to pieces...but I feel like there were a few more feuds wherein he just couldn't use the thing. Whoever voted for the people's elbow makes me sad.

Definitely Jake's DDT. It's a shame it's such a transitory move these days, because it used to be so awesome, if he hit it, you were done, no question.
I'd probably say the Tombstone now though.
