He's done an interview before where he's basically said he wouldn't 'agree' to it unless him and his dad were also inducted because "That's what Randy would have wanted". I'm not convinced. He's since said he basically doesn't care anymore and if they want to put Savage in, they can but don't put him in under the idea they have Lannys blessing. Which means Randy may never go in, since Vince won't put anyone in without someone's blessing. And given it's likely they have zero relationship with Randy's widow (who entered his life after he left wrestling), the WWE'd have to go thru Lanny... Lanny holds the cards; WWE either will be willing to play cards, or......they won't.

I really don't see the problem with inducting the whole family. I don't think it's unreasonable to argue that each deserves an induction solely on their own merits.

I'm unclear on something...
If WWE wants to induct all of the Poffo's, will Lanny then give his blessing & be there?

I did laugh at the interview when the interviewer says, tongue in cheek, "You're the Genius, right!" or something like that, and Poffo responds with a kind of ironic humility that's both humble but in the way it implies the comment was to be taken seriously kind of missing the point of it.

now it all makes sense. Randy Savaga slept with Stephanie, not Randy Savage. honest mistake. Savaga slept with Stephanie. Savage raped Stephanie. Makes sense now!

I still say Randy using Vince to get a better deal from WCW twice (96 and 98) was what permanently soured Vince on Savage. Apparently, Savage had a verbal agreement with Vince in 98 to return. I now want crazy corporate Randy Savage vs Austin.

It just has come up unclear in his interviews (even though, I assumed he's be there if the family was inducted), with him saying things like "I can't match a Randy speech," and it's always him making it sound like the WWE is only willing to induct Randy (when I've never heard any official word from WWE).

I think if anything had happened between Macho and Stephanie it would have come out by now. If he had taken her to his home, someone would have noticed a teen girl with him. If it had been done at a motel, same thing. If it had been done in a back room at the show, a wrestler would have come out and said something. Some wrestlers careers are built on being able to get one over with a salacious story. If it were anywhere near true we would be hearing it from the usual suspects from a past shoot interview. Jake would claim when Elizabeth and Randy were divorcing he saw how Randy looked at Stephanie or X-Pac, Nash or Hall would claim they watched the door for Randy to make sure Vince didn't come by. Or Hogan would claim Randy took Stephanie on a private jet to do a WCW contract deal. This all seems like something done on the 1990s AOL message boards, like claiming Hasbro intended to make "Orange card" action figures when in fact their toy line was dying before the green card guys, and it took on a life of it's own and now especially with Randy's death.

Wrestling is a business filled with people who have an axe to grind, guys who think they should have gotten a push or an extended run in a company that never happened and guys who're willing to say any old stuff in order to get people interested in more shoot interviews, yet none of them have come out and said, 'Yeah, this is what happened and this is why...' In reality, the big rift between Vince and Macho is likely because of problems on Macho's end, he's a guy who wasn't the easiest to get along with, and can carry a grudge for a long time, look at his hatred for Hulk Hogan, and he's not someone who needed the WWF so didn't come running when Vince opened his wallet. People need to face facts, he was paid handsomely through the Rock and Wrestling era, WCW threw money at him to keep him happy, his distinctive voice got him work outside of wrestling and unlike a lot of his peers, he didn't blow his money on divorce after divorce so like the Warrior, he was wealthy enough to keep his grudges alive and could refuse to work with the WWE, simple as that.
