He had a great look, unsurpassed intensity, and a tremendous gimmick. While as a person he's ultimately very divisive, he's also a guy who respects the business but realizes that his entire life can't revolve around it as he gets older. His matches were not amazing, by any means, but he did give us a few great matches and countless memorable moments. Like Kevin Nash, he's somebody I could sit and listen to give his opinions on wrestling and whatnot all day long...some things I'd agree with and some things I would not. He's clearly an intelligent guy who still keeps himself in tremendous shape. He's one of the great promo men of all time, even with his unorthodox style.

His promos were not generic or boring, he had an original and highly charismatic character, he's one of the few that got cheered as loud or louder than Hogan and he was viewed as a logical choice to beat Hulk clean at Wrestlemania. Up until then, nobody was booked to do that. He came out of the gate and in short order enjoyed great success and made a lot of money. Bobby Heenan once said (in an unrelated interview) "Like Monsoon told me, if you're in this business for anything else than money your a fool. I've never won a title in my life, or had one. It's just more crap to carry..." So Warrior got the best of both worlds. He was champion and made a good paycheck. He needed help in the ring for sure but he could hold his end when paired with the right man and booked in the proper kind of match. He had his place in the business and I agree when I read that his championship run would of been more interesting if he had Earthquake as a fresh monster heel instead of wrestling Rude again.
