Although I've been watching his matches for a long while I've really been loving Chris Dickinson lately. He just plays the asshole heel role so well!

Anthony Nese. I think the guy is incredibly talented, and has a shot of being on the of the indy greats in the coming year. With his pretty strong push in DGUSA, and recently joining PWG, I really hope his name gets out there more.

The Young Bucks. I used to be pretty critical of them but I've since warmed up to them.

I've gotten into Championship Wrestling from Hollywood over the past couple of months, and I really dig PPRay.

Mike Dell
I had never seen him until earlier this year. And he has everything. Surprised one of the bigger indies hasn't picked him up yet.

Oh yeah. He comes to NOLA and works for Wildkat all the time. Last show he won the Wildkat Heavyweight title.

In the US, Biff Busick/Frank O'Rourke broke out to me in a big way. His matches this year with Drew Gulak and Eddie Edwards are must see.
In the UK, I've started to take interest in Josh Bodom. At Rev Pro, he worked for most of the year in an imposter El Ligero gimmick, working well without the pressure of being a name. He's now unmasked, his other work has been really good, and he's wrestling Adam Cole next week.
I'll do another post later with new indie women who have impressed.

As for women, I've come around in the last year on Crazy Mary Dobson. Sure she's married to Pondo, but she's not letting herself be defined as exclusively a death match wrestler - she's having stints in Japan where she's working on in-ring skills, and it's starting to show. She got over at SHIMMER, and I saw her in Glasgow for ICW: Fierce Females have a very good match with Carmel Jacob in front of fans who only saw her as a death match wrestler. And she's still really young.
In the UK, Viper is someone who understands how to work with her size, and can also throw in some other cool stuff when it's warranted. She's arguably the biggest wrestler I've ever seen do a balcony dive. She works pretty much every weekend these days, and she more than held her own when in the same ring as Amazing Kong. She's pretty young too, and as she works regularly, she's going to get even better.

Second for Anthony Nese. I've been following him since his phenomenal performance at House of Hardcore 2. Incredible talent with a great look.

My two current favorites in term of match quality are Bobby Fish and the aforementioned Anthony Nese. I have yet to see a bad recent (2013) match from either guy. My favorite all-around "entertainer" is easily Dalton Castle. He's one of those guys that can work a crowd as easily as he can work a match.

Great entertainer, sub par radio dj.

I've not really gotten in to any new one's recently but this year I have really warmed up to Kyle O'Reilly. I liked him initially in ROH when he was tagging with Cole because I really thought they were a very good tag team. Then he became, at one point, Davey Richards v2.0 with all of Davey's worst qualities ramped up and not even having some of the good qualities that Davey had. Since teaming with Bobby Fish though he's come on a long way, their tag matches are great and he's actually developed a personality. Prior to the tag team I thought his promos would never be any good because his voice is very grating to me but redDRagon have become like the Bad Influence of ROH - in a good way, they are ridiculously entertaining. He's also come a long way as a singles wrestler, I still get annoyed at some of the stuff he does and he does have the odd bad match (I despised his clash with Davey at a PWG show earlier this year, long time since I've actively disliked a PWG match) but for the most part his matches have been very good (his match with ACH at BOLA N2 was great).
So yeah, I'm still not his biggest fan but I've really come around to Kyle O'Reilly and I hope he continues improving.

I don't get a chance to watch many indy shows anymore, but when I did, I liked Kenny Aiight and Samoan wrestler Fala. Also been a fan of Shockwave for a while.
