Why? Its not like Celestia hasn't sported the Joe Shimamura look since Season 1.  Great, when I need a screecap from "Fall Weather Friends to illustrate, Ponywiki does not have anything.  |

Too bad we didn't get a Steven Magnet or Manny Roar appearance. Two character we have not seen since the very two-parter this was a reversal of.

One other thing I wonder...we have seen white palace guards, grey palace guards and brown palace guards...Do the colours represent the duties they are assigned for?

One other thing I wonder...we have seen white palace guards, grey palace guards and brown palace guards...Do the colours represent the duties they are assigned for? Some fanart interpretations actually designated colors per species of guard, which doesn't hold up in canon. Usually, it's white Pegasus guards, white or gray unicorns, and white earth ponies. The light brown unicorn guard made me do a double-take, recalling fanart having earth pony guards that color. Then again, animation errors almost made ALICORN guards canon |

The designation by colors for species certainly would have actually made things much easier to distinguish. But whether pegasus, unicorn or earth pony, the Season 4 opener proved that without a princess, they could not even tie their shoelaces together. |

And why I wrote up guard captains who can think for themselves (though Flank Attack and Gallant Lionheart weren't my creations.... Thunder Arrow, Hazard Watch and the now retired Silver Bardiche and just about all of Luna's Phalanx, however...)  |

Seeing Luna transformed reminds of her powered-down state way back in Season 1. That in turn brought me to an idea regarding what Celestia's powered down state would look like: her having normal, pink hair. |

Yeah it's a shame the guards didn't have some kind of hot shot young SENTRY on their roster, he could have solved the problem in a FLASH. It's just too bad they didn't have any one like that. |
