What makes you think Twilight Velvet is a terrible mother, Chris? You don't even know her.
That's like saying Splinter is more of a real father to April than Mr. O'Neill.

Usually when its worded like that, it insinuates that the other mother is terrible. That's why I brought it up.
Though again, I bet that Twilight loves her real mother just as much or even more than Celestia.

Going through Cereal Velocity's Episode Followup on Equestria Daily right now and, seriously, I know Rarity has not had an episode to her in Season 3 but its not like she was a background pony in it or anything. Getting excited over her having more than three seconds of screentime or having actual lines is a bit exaggerating.
