I was thinking about the heel turn on Monday with Miz turning on Kofi to try to rejuvenate the floundering Miz character. But honestly, I think finally turning Kofi may have benefited him far more.

Kofi literally has no character besides the onion face on his tights now. If there's a man that needed taken off TV to be rebooted, it's him, though I feel that compared to the Husky Harris -> Bray Wyatt and Mike McGillicutty -> Curtis Axel transformations, he'd be the most likely to be "That's not Saba Simba, that's Tony Atlas!'d.

Turning on Miz would result in the biggest pop Kofi's gotten in years.

Kofi arguably needed the heel turn more than Miz did. Plus heel Miz vs Face Kofi was done just a year ago with a more compelling storyline (could Kofi the career midcarder hang with Miz the "main eventer"). Kofi turning heel could've arguably saved both of them by giving them a fresh feud.

But who would be the new patron saint of fun midcard babyface champions?
But I think yeah, Kofi could be a good heel.

I've always wanted to see how well Kofi could do as a heel, I reckon he would do a good job. Miz needed a change in direction though as well so it was always going to be him turning heel over Kofi.

They should have went with Kingston. He definitely has more of a future than the Miz does. I still think this is the beginning of the end for the Miz. I don't see them giving him the belt again or even being a main eventer again for that matter. If they turned Kingston...there would have been a lot more fresh things to do with him. We've already seen Miz as a heel and he's already wrestled damn near every face as one. With Kingston it would have been at least something new but for some reason they went the other direction.
I'm going to say again that I think the Miz won't be with the company within a year's time. This heel run will be his swan song in the WWE.

I don't think so.
Kofi should have turned heel first in general, yes. Not during that match though. Miz's face status was pretty shaky so turning on him would have led to a mix of apathy and cheers for Kofi.

It's weird I can never see Kofi has a heel. He's always going to be a perma babyface like Ricju the Dragon Steambost or Rey Mysterio

He can never turn. He'd be the least threatening heel of all time. Besides, so much of the lower/mid card is so rushed and forgettable, I don't think turns even get noticed anymore.

No because all a heel Kofi Kingston would mean is he would frown, have a frowny face on his pants, and would get more AGGRESSIVE
