He's going to win when The Authority turns on Orton and makes Big Show the new WWE champion. A Survivor Series screjob with Bret Hart in attendance. The whole firing angle was just a ruse. Either that or Vince has something to do with it.

A non-member of the Authority screws over Big Show, and then have that person join the group the next night ala Bossman the Raw after KOTR 99.

Korporate Kane helps Orton win, setting up a feud with him and Show.

It wouldn't make any sense at all considering the whole "I knocked HHH out" thing, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Aside from Bryan, there's no one next to Big Show built up to take Orton yet. I think Orton will retain somehow. It may not be help from The Shield or HHH judging from the buildup, but probably Orton will get a DQ. I imagine Orton will end his feud with Big Show at the Rumble, if not at TLC. the authority aint got nothin on me! bring what ya got, i dont need to be a face of the company, i just bring pain! and i want that belt!

Highly unlikely, in my book.
Don't forget a title can only change hands via a pin fall or submission. The champ might choose to get himself counted out or disqualified and he'll leave with the loser's end of the purse money but still keep his title. I wouldn't put anything past his devious mind.

We had The Rock opposing the Corporation vehemently back in fall 1998, only to align with them at Survivor Series 1998.

I do but I feel like the decision will be reversed. Orton will have his foot on the ropes that the ref won't see or something.

Small possibility that the authority helps Show win, making him "the new face of the wwe" etc.

It'll be something contrived or formulaic which keeps this feud going for yet another boring PPV that no one should buy.

They're straight up telegraphing a double turn, or at last turning on Orton. I just see Orton losing tonight, and he plays the "I got too cocky and took it for granted" redemption bit. Show becomes the "placeholder for Triple H" until he loses the title back to Orton who is now the conquering hero. Triple H then gets "back in the ring" and will face Show, who having been burned twice by Triple H goes to Vince and begs to be his proxy.
This leaves Orton as the redeemed babyface WWE champ, Cena as the WHC, and try for a Hogan/Warrior moment.
Oh, and Triple H beats Show at Mania when Vince turns on Big Show because "family is what matters".

I hope not. More so because of the implications that would have on a future push for Daniel Bryan, rather than because of disliking Big Show. I wouldnt worry about this right now, the way the WWE books over the last 5-10 years there's just no reason to worry. I want Bryan to have a true reign as well, but the next two months are basically the doldrums until the Rumble. Its the perfect time to get the belt off of Orton and have Big Show as a transitional champ. It just doesnt matter in the long run. He can drop the belt at either of the next 2 PPVs before the Mania push begins. It even could be extended to the EC which will have even more guys involved. I'm all for Big Show winning because it gets the strap off of Orton. The whole "face of the WWE" crap they're using as a reason for the authority backing Orton makes absolutely 0 sense considering its Randy Orton - The Charismatic Vaccuum, whereas personally, I find Big Show believable in many respects. I actually think the title picture could become interesting again by putting it on Show and they could give Orton his rematch next month and in the interim have Big Show slowly morph into the Authority's monster until he drops the strap at the Rumble or even Elimination Chamber. If Bryan wins the Rumble, it's not a stretch to see Punk win the strap at EC setting them up for a big clash, or whomever they're thinking of for the WWE title match. Heck, if the rumor is true and they're going to go back to one major title, theres a lot of ways to go here. Even Cena/Bryan II at Mania. I don't see Bryan winning the strap until Mania frankly (if at all) and I dont see them running a long program leading up to it. Cena dropping the WHC will say a lot as well about Mania, b/c if he's freed up from the WHC, you know he'll be in the WWE Title chase.

I have a feeling The Shield will end up attacking Orton, not sure who would win in such a scenario though as it depends if the ref is down or not.

HHH and Steph will book themselves again to be the coolest people in the room, leaving Big Show and Orton as a relatively minor side plot.
