They're straight up telegraphing a double turn, or at last turning on Orton. I just see Orton losing tonight, and he plays the "I got too cocky and took it for granted" redemption bit. Show becomes the "placeholder for Triple H" until he loses the title back to Orton who is now the conquering hero. Triple H then gets "back in the ring" and will face Show, who having been burned twice by Triple H goes to Vince and begs to be his proxy. This leaves Orton as the redeemed babyface WWE champ, Cena as the WHC, and try for a Hogan/Warrior moment. Oh, and Triple H beats Show at Mania when Vince turns on Big Show because "family is what matters". Whilst Daniel Bryan faces Damien Sandow on the WM30 kick-off show!

I hope not. More so because of the implications that would have on a future push for Daniel Bryan, rather than because of disliking Big Show. I wouldnt worry about this right now, the way the WWE books over the last 5-10 years there's just no reason to worry. I want Bryan to have a true reign as well, but the next two months are basically the doldrums until the Rumble. Its the perfect time to get the belt off of Orton and have Big Show as a transitional champ. It just doesnt matter in the long run. He can drop the belt at either of the next 2 PPVs before the Mania push begins. It even could be extended to the EC which will have even more guys involved. Big Show as transitional champion to who? There aren't any other heels built up enough right now to win the WWE championship. And I'm not just talking about Bryan having a true reign. This whole Authority angle started because of Bryan, as well as the fact that Bryan is the hottest face in the WWE right now. So it only makes sense that he should be the one to finally take the title from Orton and end the "Reign of Terror". Even if Big Show were to take the title for a month or 2, only to drop it back to Orton, that would ruin the climax of the story. Not only would that make Big Show look like the hero, but it would also make Orton look like a paper champion, which would make it impossible from whoever beats him to get any sort of rub out of it. Keep the title on Orton till Mania, and have Bryan beat him then. A feel good ending to the whole angle, and Bryan get his WrestleMania moment and is seen as a main eventer for the rest of his career.

Big Show will never get my sympathy in this feud. He's a cry baby, a coward, and an idiot for blowing his fortune.

You're looking at it from current situation, which I understand and would agree if I believed them to being staying here for another 3-4 months. I dont see them going with Orton to Mania. If the rumblings are true about joining the WWE/WHC, there's so little chance of Orton being in that match that it doesn't even matter who they transition to between now and EC. They brought Big Show into this angle to get Bryan out of it, I think they're going somewhere else. I think this Authority/Orton/Face of the WWE baloney is biding time until the Mania push, rather than setting anyone else up for anything.

I think Big Show will win tonight, but by dq, which will lead to either a tables or chairs match next month at TLC.

I know, it's out of deep left field & a long shot, but I just got a hunch.

Boy some of the responses here.
I'm thinking the Shield tries to interfere but between Big Show and some other faces running in, possibly Punk and Bryan or the Rhodes, Show is able to hit WMD and make the pin.
Then Orton regains it at TLC

I'm leaning toward Big Show, though I'm hoping there's some secret Money in the Bank holder we don't know about who can keep the title from being with either one of them.

I actually can imagine it, if only as a way to drag this feud out over a few more PPVs, with Orton winning it back at TLC and Big Show getting his rematch at the Rumble.

I do but I feel like the decision will be reversed. Orton will have his foot on the ropes that the ref won't see or something. Kane or HHH reverses the decision, Orton retains, but gets KO'd by an angry Big Show to close out the PPV. Yeah, I could see that happening. Yes! Perfect! then we can get Mark Henry & Big Show in a chairs match again at TLC. Excellent.

Big Show gets screwed (It's freaking Survivor Series) and the angle continues to drag on for another six months. That's what I expect...
