I've watched a good couple of his matches and no-one ever seems to bring him up when people mention about puros best, they mention all these great people like Okada, Liger, Muta, Tanahashi and all these great wrestlers but it seems like Minoru should be added into that list with the matches I've seen from him, he's got it all, a great look, he's very crisp in the ring and he's got a great personality, so should Minoru Suzuki be featured in the same breath as people like Liger, Kobashi and Misawa or is it more of a case of him being good, just not as good as the names mentioned.

Eeeh. I have some thoughts on why he isn't...
1. I personally feel his freelance status hasn't been the best route to go. His early 2000s NJ run was him being overshadowed by Takayama. He didn't exactly do much in NOAH when it was hot, other than a loss to Kobashi and a bad challenge against Akiyama. His Triple Crown reign in AJ wasn't anything special, with no must-see matches..
2. Like the above, he really doesn't have that many must-see matches. His recent couple that have gotten a lot of praise are with Tanahashi....Who could probably get an excellent match out of Captain New Japan while having the flu.
I like Minoru Suzuki, he's a great character and a great heel, just nowhere near that level. Also probably wouldn't Okada up there yet either.

He's pretty bad ass, but I wouldn't call him underated. As mentioned he's not one of those guys you really think of when you think of must-see matches, but he is a more than capable hand.
