Can we get an Alicia Fox vs. Naomi fued? Or something else?

I'm getting bored of AJ's act. Her little acting at Survivor Series was meh. Let's cycle in some new people here. You've got some talented people on the main roster and in NXT. I'm not saying get rid of her, but a ton of focus has been on her for years now. There are other divas who can carry some weight.

I think giving her some real competition would be a nice start. To me, she's miles above the Bella's and Natty so AJs been carrying every fued for a bit now.

I mean a proper AJ/Bayley fued would do wonders for that division.

Or even AJ vs Summer Rae would be good.

All those total divas drag that whole division down big time.

I bet Cameron would dream of feuding with Alicia Fox since it was Alicia's historic bout with Melina that so inspired Cameron to become a Diva in the first place. Can Cameron/Alicia Fox live up to the standard of Melina/Alicia Fox? Probably not, but if anyone is motivated enough to have a memorable match with Alicia Fox, it's Cameron.

How about an AJ feud where the other Diva is actually booked as a threat? She feuded with Kaitlyn, where AJ humiliated Kaitlyn, and proceeded to make her tap out 3 times. That did no favors for Kaitlyn. Then she gave the promo on the Total Divas, and they weren't allowed to give a response, she also went on to win the big matches. That only helps AJ.

They've got to give another Diva a halfway decent push to make her look like a threat to AJ.

I'd be for it, if it didn't mean that AJ would be shifted somewhere else where her riveting acting abilities of skipping and acting "quirky" and/or "crazy" would be shoved down the audience's throats through another storyline. One that might suffer greater or effect the programming in a greater way than what goes on in the Divas Division.

As much as it bores me to see AJ given the spotlight when other, more talented, Divas could use it in the division, it's the best place for her as she does the least amount of damage there.

I'm also not sure how AJ is that much better than Natty. I don't see AJ being miles ahead of the actual wrestlers in the division really. She wrestles slightly above average at best and her bad impressions of Dee from Always Sunny doesn't do it for me.

Alicia is a total babe, extremely athletic, has great facial expressions and can give good promo.

Why they never do anything with her is a mystery to me.

Well, different strokes for different folks on that one. Natty may be technically sound, but she shows no spark or personality in the ring. To me she used up the good faith of being "Bret's Niece" years ago as she never carved out her out personality/gimmick. Kaitlyn vs AJ was one of my favorite feuds from the previous year though, so I'm on board with you on that one.

The thing I like about AJ is that her character work is really on point for me. She understands her character and uses it to help make matches and feuds more entertaining. The rest of the Total Divas have zero character beyond "I'm a wrestler, girl!" and that kills it for me. The Bellas can't help but heel it up, even when they're supposed to be faces. Fox is a good wrestler, but aside from being "Alicia Fox" I couldn't pick her personality out of a line up of Divas right now. There's nothing individualistic about her that I could, let's say, tell a friend who doesn't watch wrestling about.

At the very least though, no other Diva gets the crowd reaction AJ gets. No matter how hard they try to make her the heel, the fans have really taken to her so they should capitalize on that by having her feud with new Divas instead of working this ridiculous "AJs jealous cause she wasn't asked to be on TotalDivas" bs.

That's a fair point, but at the same time, I'm honestly not sure that most of them could handle working those kinds of feuds. To me, she showed potential for great promos and character work as soon as they put a mic in her hand. She got over with a portion of the crowd by being "geek friendly" and then leveraged that into more. Has she been given a bigger push than the rest of the divas? I agree 100%, but I think that came from her bringing something to the table they could use for more than "Smile, Pose, Divas!"



When they give Fox a little something, she doesn't exactly crush it, so I can see why they didn't exactly strap a rocket to her. But maybe they just need to find the right thing for her to showcase her mic skills.

I think Aksansa is a good choice though. If she drops the "I'm trying to be so sexy I can't be bothered to wrestle my match" gimmick and give us more spinebusters like she did at Survivor Series - that'e be awesome.

Therein lies the problem: There isn't a single Diva in the company, sans AJ Lee (perhaps Kaitlyn, if you wanna be generous), with a concrete gimmick. Natalya wrestles good, Alicia wears fur, Summer Rae dances, Naomi and Cameron are video vixens, the Bellas are twins (Brie's the one dating Bryan and Nikki's the one with implants), Tamina's strong, Aksana's foreign, Layla gropes people and Rosa only occasionally exists.

If they'd put their efforts behind any of them besides one at a time and give them ten measly minutes (more than manageable on a THREE HOUR SHOW), I can bet you the enthusiasm over their segments would double immediately.

Yeah, my not caring for AJ honestly has little to do with it. The fact that there is so clearly a #1 that does whatever they want with no ceiling makes everyone else look bad.


It's kind of like how Samoa Joe killed the X division. Someone being so dominant in a small group of people requires them to beat the same people a lot. Leaves little place to go.

It really does amaze me at how they neglect the other divas on the wrestling shows. Think back to the early 2000s:

Trish was the bombshell that could wrestle but she did things with Vince and other big timers which made her even more important.
Lita was the alternative chick that did high risk moves and was helped to get over due to her association with the Hardy Boys and later with Edge.
Molly was the worker of the division and while she did get some stupid angles(big butt/granny panties) she too was a member of the Holly's who were pretty popular at the time and had a decent angle with Spike Dudley.
Chyna was over huge in no small part to being featured with DX for so long.

It seems to me that if you put a Diva with a popular act and then give them angles it will get over. Will it work for every diva? Of course not, in much the same way that some dudes just don't have what it takes, but there's no way that everyone in the divas just doesn't have it. The E just doesn't give a damn about the division at all.
