Judging from the way they no-sold the crowd's chant for DBry, I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. But come on, a little flippy indie dude like Bryan? He's not $$$$ like Cena or Orton. Only the IWC even likes him....

I've suddenly just realised that this entire angle has gone from Daniel Bryan vs. The Authority, to John Cena vs. Randy Orton. WHY?!Come on, that's funny. What's the context of that gif?

Win or lose Bryan certainly should get one more, fair shot at the title. That said, he won't. My best guess is he's now the go-to midcarder when they need "A former World Champion!" for some multi-man former champions match. But, that's okay. He already made it further in WWE than I ever thought he would.

i'm fully expecting a swerve where Cena and Orton both reach for the belts, and take down the other's belt at the same time giving us WWE champ Cena and WHC champ Orton.

I'm as big of a fan of Bryan as anyone, but he's as likely as the Miz to ever touch the WWE championship again. I've suddenly just realised that this entire angle has gone from Daniel Bryan vs. The Authority, to John Cena vs. Randy Orton. Well, I was way off on where it was going - I expected Bryan vs the Authority to turn into Orton vs Big Show. I guess I was still giving WWE too much credit.

Bryan won't sniff a meaningful match at WrestleMania, let alone the main event title match. Hell, he'll be lucky to get a singles match, I think he's destined for one of the "too important to leave off but not important enough to try" multi-man matches.

I am stunned to see the number of people who think Daniel Bryan will never be WWE champion again. He beat Cena (clean), and hasn't lost a match in which he hasn't been screwed horribly in some way for months. Is the company that incompetent that they don't know how to marginalize a wrestler correctly?

So there is no way that Bryan wins the Rumble?

I'm thinking they'll throw Cena, Orton, Punk and Bryan into the main event of WM in a big Fatal Fourway match, preferably elimination style like at WM16.

This notion that Bryan is going to be forgotten and be placed in a last minute match on Mania is absolutely silly to me. Bryan is booked extremely strong on tv, they are making more merchandise for him and they keep him in high profile spots without being in the title picture. Even after Punk's "major burial" in 2011, he still got the longest title reign in like 20 years and faced guys like rock,Brock and Taker. That seems pretty nice to me. He is feuding with a mid card stable, in the middle of show, and having his storyline treated like it's barely important compared to other things. IE he's back to mid card, he likely faces Kane at Mania in the 4th or 5th most important match, his main eventing days are over.

You mean getting the second to last match on a PPV, feuding at the 10 o clock hour which is one of the most important time slots and working with one of the most over men in the company in Punk is pure midcard?

In my ideal world. Rumble Final 6 Bryan Punk Reigns Ambrose Rollins Orton Rollins and Ambrose get attacked by Wyatts, leaving them weakened. Reigns manages to avoid them. Punk eliminates Rollins, Bryan eliminates Ambrose. Final 4 Bryan Punk Reigns Orton HHH screws Orton. Bryan and Punk both eliminate Reigns, but it too a lot out of them to do it. Final 2 Bryan Punk Both eliminated at same time ala Bret/Lex. Leading to this Mania card Undisputed Championship: Bryan vs Cena (c) vs Punk
Streak on the Line Undertaker vs Lesnar
Last Man Standing HHH w/Vince vs Orton w/a returning Shane (they keep on teasing that the alliance between the two will end and I think it will, with them trying to create a better match than 25 and not on last)
The Show Stealer/Rey's Final Match Rey Mysterio vs Dolph Ziggler
Hardcore Tornado Tag: Shield (face turn) vs Wyatts *see Generation Next/Embassy ROH feud on how it would be done
Kane vs Mark Henry
IC Championship Big Show (heel turn) vs Big E (c)
Tag Team Championship Scramble Match Real Americans (c) vs Uso's vs Truth and Consequences vs Ryback and Axel vs ADR and Miz
Grudge Match Goldust vs Cody Rhodes
Sorted...I don't know, something like that.

I'm guessing TLC is the way they will have each guy retain their own title (since both will be suspended from the ceiling), or each will win the other's. It'll be a cop-out on holding off unification. It can't happen at Wrestlemania, otherwise, the Royal Rumble is meaningless, and the winner gets screwed. I would have TLC end with each champ grabbing his own belt (I know, another crappy main event finish), then Cena loses his World title to another heel, maybe Sandow, to give him back some heat after blowing the MITB cash-in.
Bryan goes on to win the Rumble, and Punk wins the Elimination Chamber. This way, we get Bryan vs. Orton at Mania to get a true blowoff to that feud, and Punk vs. Sandow. This frees Cena up to challenge the Undertaker's streak, as he's really the only guy left who can actually make it believable that he can break it. Punk and Bryan win their respective titles and have their Eddie/Benoit moment to close the show. Then, we use the next ppv as the unification match, face vs. face, that would split the crowd's allegiances much like Hogan/Warrior.
Thoughts?
