I just heard through the grapevine that Michael Elgin will be running a 6 month wrestling training camp in Saint Louis starting in January. I contacted him for more info and the camp will train 2 days a week for 3 months and then 3 days a week for 3 months and will cost 2000 dollars.
I also recently contacted another camp in Saint Louis where the head trainer is a guy named Brandon Espinosa, Espinosa wrestles in OVW and has had WWE and TNA tryouts. His camp is fifty dollars a month for the first three months and then any additional training is free. They train two nights a week.
So what do I do? I am completely broke, so the Elgin camp seems a bit out of reach, however I am considering the idea of starting an indiegogo/kickstarter type project where I attempt to raise funds for the school. I am also a writer and have been thinking of the idea of writing a book that starts around the time I begin my training and details the journey up until my first match. Copies of the book would be rewards for donating to the cause.
Do you think people would be willing to donate money to something like this? Even a small amount? I intend to play up the fact that donors would be helping me realize a dream I've had my entire life. What other sort of rewards would you suggest offering?
Should I go for it with the cheaper camp as a fallback plan?

Do what you want, but if I were serious about training I would go up to Calgary and see Lance Storm.

I think Harley Race runs a school in MO as well. As for the funding, unfortunately there are a lot of people who have the dreams of becoming a pro wrestler and will never make it. I would find it hard to believe they would be willing to fund your project though good luck! I think the main reason they fund the legends is because they are getting something big in return like a signed photo or a phone call. I understand you may not be able to afford a lot though the book is a cool idea. Sad to say you may be overthinking it all. From what I've seen all one has to do is post a youtube of themselves doing something idiotic and they become a sensation. Hard work seems to be the suckers way anymore... cries.

No ones going to donate money for you to go train. Get a job and save what you can. See if he offers monthly payments or something to help make it more manageable

Yes, I caught that part.
But Lance has had students from all over the world including as far as Australia. I guess it depends how bad you want it and what your goals are.
That said, the next available Lance Storm with room is the Sept. 8th - Nov. 28th 2014 class so you'd had a lot of time to plan/save.

I don't make nearly enough money to save up enough cash to pay for the school, travel, and a place to stay while in Canada.

Go for the kickstarter, what could it hurt?

I don't think using kick starter is even an option.
But if OP is flat broke, then he probably can't afford to be a wrestler regardless of where he gets trained. Wrestling school is an investment and what comes after that is an even bigger investment.
