@adamschefter Cowboys playing 8th win-or-go-home game in Week 17 or playoffs with Tony Romo as starting QB. They're 1-6 in past 7 games, 0-3 in week 17.
Really think we're looking at the Eagles and Pack making the playoffs. I'll be floored if Rodgers isn't back for next Sunday.

You mean to tell me, the country doesn't want to watch Green Bay vs. Chicago for the coveted NFC North championship? Or if San Francisco loses, the great matchup to determine the final playoff spot between the 49ers and the Cardinals. I'd much rather watch that game than the Eagles rolling the Cowboys like hobos, but Dallas brings the ratings I guess.

Pretty much. Dallas = ratings, no matter if they stink or not.

Here is what I have after Sunday night next week (this is assuming Rodgers plays. If not, Chicago wins).
#1 - Broncos #2 - Patriots #3 - Bengals #4 - Colts #5 - Chiefs #6 - Dolphins
#1 - Seahawks #2 - Panthers #3 - Eagles #4 - Packers #5 - 49ers #6 - Saints

And if San Francisco wins this week and New Orleans loses next week, Arizona can win and take the Saints playoff spot.

Pretty much. Dallas = ratings, no matter if they stink or not. Not just that, for the last few years...the NFL has for some ungodly lucky reason had the NFC East be basically decided in the last week of the season, which NBC will always want for ratings purposes.

The Green Bay Packers are beyond lucky to still be breathing in the playoff race. Now watch them win the Super Bowl

Oh, how I miss the days when the AFC East was a real division (1997-1999). Tom Brady practically yawns his way to a division title.

Absolutely terrible performance last night. Now fearing the inevitable return of GOD ALMIGHTY AARON RODGERS. Can't wait to tear his shoulder off his body.

The win or go home 1-6 record over 7 games is a misleading stat for the Cowboys since he's counting the playoffs for that; unless a team won the Superbowl each year, EVERY team will have a shitty playoff record on a long enough timeline.
The 0-3 for the last.three years I'll give him though.
Hell Peyton has 8 one&out appearances in the playoffs himself, and a losing record at 9-11, but again, it's a trumped up misleading stat.

Current SportsNation poll - who wins the game to decide the NFC North?
46% - Packers if Rodgers starts 29% - Packers if Flynn starts 25% - Bears in both scenarios
The Bears had better hope that Rodgers doesn't make it.

Even if Rodgers doesn't play, I still think the Packers win. Hell even if Lacy's out, I think the Packers win. With the Bears defense, the Packers practice squad runningback could tear them up.

The Bears played the worst defense that I've seen in a long time last night, and I'm a Redskins fan so that's saying something. I don't see how they win no matter who is QB'ing for the Pack.

Lions might as well fire Jim Schwartz, even if it'll cost them money. The players need to be held responsible for being undisciplined, but the coach also needs to be held accountable for letting the team be this way. It's a complete waste of talent.
But, even without much talent right now, the Colts are getting back to a good rhythm with that dominanting performance over the Chiefs, and if three games go the way they are supposed to, the Colts can be the #2 seed.

I have no idea why the Bears didn't stick w/McCown as quarterback. Regardless of what Marshall said, everything was fine, they were winning and were playing well. Why change all of that? Now they're not even sure if Cutler is their QB of the future? So let me get this straight, you had a QB playing out of his mind and then you bench him for a guy who may not even be there next year?

Coach Marc Trestman confirmed the Bears will start Jay Cutler in Week 17.
Sources tell FOX Sports that Carl Nicks (foot) has received "mixed messages" on whether he'll be able to resume his career.

The reality is that the rest of the AFC East is full of orginizations that simply cannot get out of their own way. Don't get me wrong, when you have Brady and Belichick, you're chances are always pretty solid, but outside of 02 (SuperBowl hangover) and 08 (No Brady), it isnt usually isn't a close race.

Heading to Candlestick for one final time tonight. I'm pretty emotional already, I'll miss that building so much.

McCown wouldn't have made a difference last night unless he's a stud defensive player without realizing it.
