when they turn heel, Why don't they have someone, lets say hypothetically Kofi Kingston, turn heel and then come out next week and say "See, you people have been cheering me since they day I got here, you wanted me to break through that glass ceiling, then when I do that you boo me, I should've ditched you people a long time ago"
Seriously why are wrestling fans such fickle hypocrites?

Maybe the fans from last week's arena are still cheering him from their sofas?

Imagine a wrestling world where fans supported only one wrestler (like British football clubs) and travelled the country to watch them wrestle and fight fans of a rival wrestler.

Because, it'd be like if your favorite superhero suddenly turned evil and attacked your other favorites.

Because the masses are innately evil. They're never satisfied with anything for very long. They are quick to raise people up on pedestals one moment and tear them down the next. You cannot depend on them to be principled about anything.

People get restless when they see Cena win week in week out, and hope things will change if they switch cheers for boos when wrestlers turn heel.
It's still TBD if it works or not.

I've been advocating something similar for a long time, where WWE encourages segments of the crowd to support individual wrestlers, even faces/heels against other faces/heels.

Your hero has turned evil. They have turned their backs on the ideals that made you a fan of them in the first place.
And they said your sports team sucks!!!

As opposed to WWE's ham-fisted attempts to manipulate reactions for heels people like and faces people don't. In all other "sports" people like who they like. I wish Vince would do away with with that narrative and just have engaging characters. Let the masses decide. Don't have the announcers try and make excuses or flat out make up things to justify the narrative. (i.e. bizarro world).

I don't know. Even as a kid I didn't really boo all of my favorites just because they turned.
And I was more of a Shawn Michaels fan before he turned face and had his WWF title run in 1996.
But generally speaking, fans are basically expected to be the company's puppets.

Don't have the announcers try and make excuses or flat out make up things to justify the narrative. (i.e. bizarro world). Exactly. In boxing and MMA fans cheer who they like, for the most part. I know wrestling works on a slightly different dynamic, but so often it seems like WWE are trying to swim against the current because the performer that the fans have taken to is not the one they want to fill the role they have in mind. The most obvious example at the moment is AJ. The fans love her, yet she's still presented as the dastardly heel. (I would say Bryan, but they at least made an effort to go with the flow on him.) Let the performers define their characters, and let the fans decide who they want to cheer and boo. Is it really such a challenge to put a CM Punk vs. Rock (for example) feud together without turning the former into a pantomime villain because it doesn't fit the dynamic WWE thinks will sell PPV numbers? Pacquiáo vs. Mayweather (if it ever happens) is a guaranteed box office draw because they have huge fanbases, are the top names in boxing, and have very distinct personalities that you either love or hate. Whty can't that work for wrestling instead of the outmoded heel vs. face dynamic?
