I miss those "feature" matches where two of the "name" wrestlers (as opposed to jobbers) take on each other, despite not being in a feud. The pairings were often incredibly random (rick martel vs big bossman? cactus jack vs bobby eaton?) but that just added to the appeal as it led to some interesting clashes of styles. I know that it makes no sense in today's scene (most of those matches were to break the monotony of jobber squashes) but it was still fun.

I'd get more excited when Monsoon would say
"Next week on Wrestling Challenge; our feature match - it's Typhoon vs the Repo Man"
Than I would for it to be announced that the main event for next week's Raw is a 10 man Hell in a Cell with Cena, Taker, Bryan, Punk, Orton, HHH, Mysterio and the Shield.

I miss that too. Hell, I miss jobber squash matches.

Isn't that what they did for Main Event at least in the beginning?
