...when he 'passed the torch' to the Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania 6 in 1990.
36 years old. It seems seems incredible to imagine, doesn't it?
The same age Undertaker was when he defeated Ric Flair at Wrestlemania 18.
Both those guys at the time seemed, and were, veterans. I know Cena has been around for a long time now but he still seems like a relatively young man. Hard to think in less than four short years he'll be 40.

Time for Cena to pass the torch to JTG. He's ready, brother.

Randy Orton, despite wrestling at the pace of a 45 year old, is actually younger than CM Punk and only one year older than Daniel Bryan.

I feel like John Cena and Orton are going to be the sort of people that look mostly the same for years and then suddenly age decades in like a year.

Both Hogan and especially 'Taker have always seemed much older than their actual age. Cena, on the other hand, seems slightly younger than 36. I would've guessed 32ish if I didn't already know his actual age.

Wait wait, Hogan passed the torch? I put quote marks around that part. I don't think you do pass the torch in wrestling though. At that point fans weren't 'over' Hogan. It's the fans that make the decision on these things.

Because he dresses like a five year old? "Nice shirt. How old are you? Like 7?"

And Batista was 36 when his main event push started, so it's all relative.

36 isn't what it used to be. Maybe it's just because it seemed very old when I was a kid, and now that I'm 30 it doesn't seem too far off, but I think that, at some point in our culture over the last twenty years, your 20's have become an extension of your teen years. Your 30's are what your 20's to be be, your 40's what your 30's used to be, and so on.
An increased lifespan and people taking better care of themselves have finally caught up to the concept of adulthood.

Cena already passed the torch to Bryan at Summerslam this year and the Raw after, people just kept running by trying to blow it out.
