Not gonna lie, not a big fan of Johnny Ace, so watching Stan stiff the hell out of him put a smile on my face.

That mullet makes Ace look like Ricky Morton's big brother.

Ace must've been a tough SOB, though. He had to deal with Hansen AND Dr. Death fairly regularly, and both guys aren't known for gentle.

And the best thing, he hasn't aged one bit in last 20 years.

I think he would have gotten heat Roddy Piper could only dream of if he had kept the mullet during that whole angle with Punk/Cena.

After that Western Lariat, Ace's body wished his head well in its future endeavors.

Johnny Ace is an underrated wrestler. People try to twist it like he was terrible and Ms. Baba was why he was around/pushed when in fact he wasn't bad at all.

I dunno if anyone ascribes any value to them, but Ace has 2 Meltzer 5-star matches on resume; perennial workhorse Daniel Bryan has exactly none.

To be fair, I could wrestle against any of the 90's AJPW main event and Meltz would give it at least 3 stars.

Yes, and he won the 1996 match of the year over the Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart iron man match.

I'm surprised to see most of you think he was't very good. I was actually always surprised that he had such a bad eye for talent even though he was very talented himself.

Yeah, before I'd seen any of his stuff I expected the worst, but was pleasantly surprised by what he could do. He'd probably be an IWC darling if he was around these days, especially with his promo chops! If you don't got it, get it. If you don't get it *finger wag* FIGURE IT OUT!

Ace just has that Eric Bischoff vibe where even if you respect something he's done, you really don't want to give him any credit for it because of how much of a tool he comes off as.

Still, Ace is like HHH, where he will be more respected if weren't for the positions and politics that they had played on the WWE

Not gonna lie, not a big fan of Johnny Ace, so watching Stan stiff the hell out of him put a smile on my face. So that explains why The Lariat never got a WWE run post-2001.
