Battleground was a shit show with a pretty damn weak card on paper, so not terribly surprising especially given it was sandwiched between two bigger PPVs. That being said, the Rhodes / Shield match was awesome and kind of made it worth seeing.

Wasn't Battleground the show with that awful/nonexistent finish in the main event?
If so they absolutely deserved what they got with it.

Wasn't Battleground the show with that awful/nonexistent finish in the main event? I think that's been every PPV for the last four months.

clearly this is CM Punk and Daniel Bryan's fault. Damn right, they're just trying to make Orton look bad.

clearly this is CM Punk and Daniel Bryan's fault. We clearly need John Cena in the main event until the day he dies! GOD DAMN IT HUNTER GET TO WORK ON AN IMMORTALITY SEREUM!

I couldn't even remember the main event result for Battleground. Then I looked it up, and I saw the problem.

Battleground was one of the worst built up PPVs ever. Coming off the various Daniel Bryan screwjobs and the abeyance storyline this PPV had no choice but to suck and bomb horribly.

That goddamn vanilla midget Daniel Bryan just can't draw. Thank god he was in the ring with Randy Orton or those PPV's might have gotten TNA level buyrates!

Survivor Series deserves even worse buyrates.

Survivor Series deserves even worse buyrates. I don't think Survivor Series will do historically bad numbers just because, well, it's still got some prestige. However, if it comes in with a bad buyrate, or significant drop from last year, who can they blame? It was the Orton/Show/Trips program. I guess Show, since to look at commonalities would be unheard of.

Hey WWE, nice speaking to you again. Listen, you know that habit you have of doing two PPVs in one month? Yeah, stop doing that. It doesn't work.

Who buys these in the first place? The matches happen over again the next night on RAW in most cases.

Battleground was expected, especially after the f*** finish with Bryan the previous show. Good to see Hell in a Cell do decently though.

clearly this is CM Punk and Daniel Bryan's fault. 3/4 of the PPVs headlined by Bryan were down. The one that was up was Cena's return show. These are the facts of the matter.

And all of those pay per views did a terrible job of building Bryan up as a top star so it's not so much his fault as it is Creative. You know something's wrong when on the go-home show your spotlight is being stolen by a guy whose not even booked on the card.
