I get that they're never going to include the lesser star matches (having Rhodes vs Shield was a great & unexpected choice, however), but come on...we all know Punk v Cena was miles better than the WM29 main event. Wrestlemania does over a million buys every year now, it's not like they need to make it look grander than it is.
I say realistically, it should've been Punk vs Cena from Raw, Shield vs Rhodes from Battleground, Punk vs Taker from WM29, and I guess Bryan vs Cena from SummerSlam, though I do think Raw this year has had countless great matches. Jericho went from one of the worst years of his career in 2012 to one of his best this year. Most of those matches took place on Raw, right alongside all the great Shield matches.
I guess what I'm trying to say is to make sure to buy the Best of Raw and Smackdown 2013 early next year.

It is insane how that list doesn't reflect how many great matches there have been this year. The first and last, sure but...jeez.

Punk/Taker is the only one that even deserves to be on this list. Punk/Cena, Punk/Lesnar and Bryan/Cena should have been the other three on top of Punk/Taker in my opinion.

Didn't they acknowledge themselves how great Punk/Cena was? They put the full match on YouTube with praises and all. Bryan not having a match and Shield only having one is absolutely stupid too,but Punk/Cena not being there is the biggest bullshit of them all.

The fact that there's no Punk/Lesnar & Bryan/Cena show just how big of a sham this list is. Not that i'm surprised; chalk it up to another Undertaker Wrestlemania match.

I'll be floored if Cena vs. Rock II doesn't win it.
Should it? Hell no. Cena's had at least five better matches this year. But, that'll probably be it.

Not a single Daniel Bryan match.
What a load of goat manure.

This is baffling, because the best matches of the year are all extremely high profile matches, yet it's a shit list anyway.

I could have accepted Brock vs HHH if it was their decent WrestleMania match. But their shitty Extreme Rules match? Ugh.
And Rock/Cena is just abysmal. A poor attempt at copying the previous year's match.

I'll defend Rock/Cena's first match to death because it was genuinely fun in a very markish sense. I didn't expect Rock to win, so with every pinfall and submission the mark inside of me went "No! Not yet! Let me believe in the impossible for just a while longer! C'mon, kick out!" And he did. Again and again. Then near the end, when I thought he was absolutely done for, and the mark inside of me(he takes over very frequently) was going "NO! ANY WAY BUT THIS WAY!" when Cena tried the people's elbow. Then Rock actually got up, hit his finisher and won. I marked out. It was spitting in the face of all booking logic and I didn't care.
It was like a part of my brain went "But this doesn't make any sen--" and the other part interrupted it, going "IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE! MARKING OUT BRO!"
It was, despite the ridiculous buildup, a really fun match I got emotionally invested into.
...Now this year's match? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

CM Punk v. John Cena from Raw was the best match of the year in my view. Not even an option.

Is NBC airing the Rock/Cena match in the next few weeks at all as part of that annual overproduced WrestleMania fluff-deal they do every year?
I just ask because nothing is organic in WWE anymore. It all leads to what they want to produce regardless, and Rock/Cena 2 winning could either lead to promoting said special, or at least be a circle-jerk to Rock to try and get him to comeback. Because without a novelty act on top, WrestleMania's buyrate is plummeting tin March.
Actually, on second thought, WWE probably rigged that one so they could air a pretape Rock interview on RAW, to try a pop a quarter hour.
