I've been reading Cagematch.net lately and find it fascinating how often different kinds of wrestlers work. For instance, the weekend warrior name still rings true for a lot of indie workers, but some guys wrestle even less often and can still make a name for themselves in that area. For instance, I've noticed some indie workers will only wrestle for a few companies, which run monthly. Some even just wrestle for one company that runs monthly, which makes me wonder how rusty they can get between shows.
In comparison to American and European companies, Puro companies seem to give wrestlers a lot more matches. Even some of the smaller Puro companies will still have a wrestler work 60+ matches a year.
Then you get into WWE and it just gets ridiculous. For instance, Kofi Kingston worked 202 matches last year!
Of course Cagematch.net does not record EVERYTHING, but they can be pretty thorough. I just found it interesting to see the differences between how often guys work on the different tiers of wrestling. Also, Kofi must be sore as hell if he is wrestling more 1 day for every 2.
