What was it then?
For me it was at Butlins in the days before they were a part of the WWE's touring schedule and when they'd have 2 indie matches there a week in the summer.
James Mason took on someone called Kid Cool (who came out to Too Cools music - bangin'itbangin'itbangin'itthatwasinterestingTURN IT UP!), can't remember who was in the other match
The ring wasn't weighed down and the impact of alot of moves caused the ring to move quite a substantial distance.
There was no barricades and at one point one of the heels was on the floor wrapped around the ring post and all us kids from the crowd charged toward him and started attacking him, the poor red coats looked terrified.
Also they told us who to cheer and who to boo before they came out.
My first WWE match was Taker V Punk in a casket match (house show was the same night as a raw taping so main event went on first to get Taker to RAW)

Mines more recent since I've only been a fan for about 10 years.
2005 a promoter did a card filled with mostly TNA guys. The first match I witnessed was Frankie Kazarian Vs Super Dragon Vs TNT (Local Australian guy)
Was a pretty good spot fest if I remember correctly.

Bret "Hitman" Hart vs. Col. Mustafa.
June, '91 at the Target Center in Minnesota's opening match.
The main event of Undertaker vs. Ultimate Warrior burned such an image into my four-year-old brain of the Warrior busting out of the bodybag.

The Berzerker vs. Tom Stone at a House Show in Oshkosh, WI. I was almost 5. Stone got thrown into the barricade right in front of me and scared the hell out of me (I was in the second row). It was fun, but I was slightly worried that the heels would try and beat me up.

Well, my dad and uncle took me to a show promoted by Killer Kowalski in 1996, but the only things I remember from the show were The Smooth Operator(who I'd get to see years later working as a heel), a god awful Doink/Volkoff main event, and some guys behind me heckling the heels.
The following year, my dad took me to Monday Nitro at the Fleet Center. We got to our seats just as the first dark match was wrapping up, so the first match we actually saw was Glacier vs. Wrath.

Wrestling shows hardly ever came to Ireland until a few years ago(wwe comes here twice a year now) so the first show I saw was a TNA show in Dublin back in 09. I believe the first ever match I saw live was an X-division match between Alex Shelley, Doug Williams and Eric Young.

Mine was the "Wrestlemania Revenge" tour of 1997, at the Joe Louis Arena, in Detroit. The main event was Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Undertaker vs. The British Bulldog and Owen Hart for the tag belts. The opening bout was "Sparkplug" Bob Holly vs. Leif Cassidey (aka Al Snow). Great show, all around. Still weirded out that Goldust was the most over guy, all night.

Perry Saturn vs. Steve Blackman-MSG 9/23/00 house show the night before Unforgiven. It was pretty decent from what I remember.
The main event was Rock/HHH/Taker vs. Benoit/Kane/Angle, they pretty much repeated the same spots from the TV 6-man they had, still it was fun.

WWF @ New York City, NY - Madison Square Garden - April 24, 1989 (16,000) Televised on the MSG Network - included Tony Schiavone & Lord Alfred Hayes on commentary:
Prime Time Wrestling - 6/12/89: Greg Valentine (w/ Jimmy Hart) pinned the Blue Blazer at 10:57 by catching him coming off the top rope and slamming him to the mat (Owen Hart's final MSG appearance for 3 and a half years) (Someone made us late for the show. I didn't even know that we missed a match until the show ended) Hillbilly Jim defeated the Honkytonk Man (w/ Jimmy Hart) via disqualification at the 24-second mark after Honky attacked Jim from behind with Hart's megaphone after Jim became distracted by Hart, with Honky & Hart then further attacking Jim before leaving ringside; after Hillbilly got to his feet, he grabbed the mic and said he didn't want that type of victory and challenged Honky to come back out and continue the match, but the challenge went unanswered Prime Time Wrestling - 10/30/89: Dino Bravo pinned Hercules at 16:26 by sitting on Herc's chest and then holding onto the ropes for leverage; after the bout, Hercules applied the full nelson on Bravo (WWF Strong Men) Prime Time Wrestling - 5/8/89: Paul Roma pinned Boris Zhukov at 12:21 with a powerslam; after the bout, Hillbilly Jim returned to the ring and said he said he wanted to fight the Honkytonk Man anywhere he could get a match with him; later in the show, Howard Finkel announced a rematch had been signed for 5/8 at the Meadowlands Jake Roberts pinned Ted Dibiase (w/ Virgil) at 16:16 with a roll up as Dibiase played to the fans; after the bout, Dibiase & Virgil attacked Jake until they knocked him out of the ring, as Dibiase & Virgil then began to leave ringside, Jake pulled Virgil back inside the ring, where he was about to lay Damien across him, but Dibiase returned to ringside and pulled Virgil away before Jake could do anything (SuperTape) Mr. Perfect fought Bret Hart to a 20-minute time limit draw at 19:05; after the bout, Hart challenged Perfect to 5 more minutes, with the two briefly brawling until Hart sent his opponent to the floor (The Life and Times of Mr. Perfect) The Bushwhackers defeated Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard at 10:02 when Butch pinned Anderson after Luke headbutted Anderson in the mid-section when he was attempting to powerslam Butch, with Butch falling on top for the pin Randy Savage (w/ Sensational Sherri) defeated WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan via count-out at 10:36 after Sherri jumped on Hogan's back to prevent him from reentering the ring, and Savage attacked Hogan from behind after Hogan he got Sherri off him and then quickly reentered the ring on the 9-count; after the bout, Sherri put the world title belt around Savage's waist and raised his hand in victory until Hogan snuck up behind them, rammed their heads together and reclaimed his title belt before chasing both from the ring
