And as seen on the Canadian feed during tonight's Raw, we get awkward commercial break spots thanks to The Wyatts' DEH! crap. some people think it's supposed to be DEATH! It's the DOWN shout from Bray from one of the initial promos about the hammer/fist/other usual destructive element coming down.

Does anyone remember when they trialled having background music during promos for a bit on Smackdown a few years ago.
They dimmed the lights and played really ominous music during a few Jeff Hardy promos.
If they're going to be overproduced because Kevin Dunn desperately wants to play make-believe and pretend he's not in the wrassling business then they should push it as far as they can, Sin Caras mood lighting is only the start, they should go really over the top.
Ideally they should scale back their production drastically but thats never going to happen so they should take the piss instead. If it wasn't 2AM i'd offer up some suggestions as to what they could do.

For the most part I like it too.
The only thing I don't care for is the lighting. I would prefer the ring be well lit with a dim crowd. Obviously I understand why the crowd is well lit though, they want to show crowd reactions/signs etc.

Re: the palm trees... Etc...
In an open air show, they need a place to rig lighting, cage, etc
In today's world of lawsuits and liability, the frames (made of steel with diagonal reinforcement bars) need to be covered up so that some drunk doesn't decide to climb.
Unless they go back to indoor manias, it's here to stay

Nope I don't have a problem with it, the arena where the actual "show" is suppose to be taking place can be as over produced and fancy as they want it. It's the backstage (you know the places where not really supposed to be seeing, within the context of the show) that shouldn't be bathed in studio lights and perfectly framed.

As far as sets go, my favorite set is still WM X8's. Royal Rumble 2002 had a great set too.

For the record, I also like the WWE "hard camera" style where all finishers/big moves are aimed in a way where I get a good look at what's going on.
I know wrestling is scripted. I'd prefer to just see what's up. If I'm watching a movie, I don't want them to pretend it's real and have me looking at the character's backs either.
