Would they really book HBK's first match in four years with him as a heel? As over as Bryan is, it'd still take some massive dicking from Michaels to keep the crowd from turning on DB.

Looks that way. I'm pretty happy with this.

So Bryan isn't going to get his Mania moment and win the title?

I don't see it. I think Punk wins the Rumble, face Trips for the shot at EC and face Cena for the title at Mania. As for Bryan, I don't see him facing HBK since he's gotten one over on him twice now or doing anything important sadly.

I have no interest in either of those matches then. Burials derailed Punk's momentum during the Summer of Punk angle, he derailed Bryan's momentum, and now Bryan has been pushed back down the card again. Lame it is.

Punk wins the Rumble. Bryan beats Cena for the title at the Rumble because of a miscue by HHH trying to keep the title off of Bryan. Punk vs Bryan, Cena vs HHH.

The moment we saw Punk slowly getting up and preparing to hit HHH tonight I started marking out. I don't care if it was just a punch to the back of HHH's head instead of getting his win back, I'LL TAKE IT.
...Although I'd really love to see HHH trying to pull his "DIS BUSINESS" crap with Mr."I don't give a shit."

Probably won't see HBK in a match. It was probably just closure to what HBK did to Bryan this year.

Shawn's post-HIAC promo where he basically demanded an apology from D-Bry had everyone backing Bryan by the end of it.

Eh...Hogan wasn't exactly getting massive pops when he was heeling it up against Rock in the lead-up to WM18 either. But once he stepped into that ring....

He's a great performer and he'll be able to get heat in the build-up, especially if he acts condescending and entitled like The Authority. I think he would get cheered in the actual match, but not to the point of a Rock/Hogan scenario where the whole crowd just turns on Bryan. That would be a real shame.

If there's anyone that can out-babyface HBK, it's Daniel Bryan. Hometown or no hometown, he's just outpopped a ring full of 20+ World champions and has been overshadowing the WWE title programs for about a month now. Crowd response has become his domain.
