Heel HBK is amazing in these type of limited doses.

I love how it seems like every time its time for HHH to actually look vulnerable, scared or sell, HBK seems to almost always show up and take that bullet for him. I pointed this shit out last year and was chewed out for it. Dammit it! It's f*** true because HHH on his own can't gain sympathy which why when you look back at his career, he was always in some group or team. It's almost as if he's being *GASP* CARRIED! But yeah. I guess the occasional appearance isn't too bad, but I still just wish that Shawn didn't feel the need to somehow be involved in a major angle. It'd be nice if he was there to put over a midcard angle for once.

I like Shawn right now. I'd like to see circa 1997/98 Shawn feud with D-Bry. None of the innuendo, just the overall cockiness and arrogance.

See I don't mind seeing him at all. It's more like "Hey, there's Shawn. It's been awhile, HI SHAWN!"
He doesn't really have a huge effect when he does show up, but I'm usually glad to see him.

HBK is mainly used to help gain sympathy for HHH, who can't on his own because that would require HHH to look bad several times in a row. HHH will let it happen two times at most, but during the entire feud, no.

About the only time since 2002 that I can remember Triple H consistently, definitively looking like a fallible human being is when he lost to Batista at Mania, lost to him again at Backlash, was eliminated by Benoit in the first round of the Gold Rush tournament, lost to Batista again at Bad Blood, then lost to Flair on coming back a few months later. And even then the Backlash and Gold Rush losses weren't clean.

The fans in Bryan shirts bowing to HBK while he came out to accept an award for screwing over Bryan was hilarious.

I had to like your post, however... Please. For the love of god, HBK. Just go away and never look back. Even if he did go away, I actually think he'd always be looking back even if he didn't want to.... .....that silly. silly eye.

He's one of my favorites ever, but it almost comes off as the guy not being sure if he wants to be retired, since he's hitting his finisher left and right.
Shit or get off the pot, Shawn.
And yes, he's overexposed, the same way Stone Cold was up until a couple years ago. It's not a special appearance when you see him every month.
Too bad WWE couldn't reach out to other legends. I'd love to see King Kong Bundy make a random appearance instead of Shawn's 200th in the last 3 years.
As for the "2 or 3 appearances"...the dude has had at least a dozen this year alone.

I didn't like his involvement in the Lesnar feud whatsoever, that was the most blatant example of HBK: Morality Pet I've seen yet. In this storyline though, he's added a little bit due to his history with Bryan. He definitely added another layer to the crazy chain reaction ending of Raw last night, Punk eating a super kick was a shocker. I think we just might see Bryan/Punk vs. DX at WrestleMania, which would be better than any Triple H singles match. But, the cynic in me thinks it's an alternative to Triple H actually putting Bryan over straight-up, which otuside of a length title reign for Bryan is the most logical conclusion to all this. They'll probably lose with HBK taking the fall and Triple H Pedigrees him the next night because "you're weak, Shawn!"

Now you can follow it as it rolls straight to Hell!

I just want to know if he ever asked HHH why he didn't help him when Bryan had him in the Yes lock a while back. I love how it seems like every time its time for HHH to actually look vulnerable, scared or sell, HBK seems to almost always show up and take that bullet for him. I think the most blatant example of this was the final segment the same night, when Big Show crashed Orton's celebration and cleaned house. Show cleared out the ring, smacked down all the Shield, owned Orton by getting attacked by him from behind and still KOing Randy, and Triple H was outside the ring... glaring, throwing off his jacket, and had to be restrained by Stephanie from getting in. Looking like a badass who wants to get in there and throw it down with Big Show and is being held back. That's pathetic. It didn't play into the angle at all, it just existed to reinforce that Triple H is still a badass, even though the story they're trying to build positions him the diametric opposite of that. Vince would've never sold a moment like that. Even if they didn't want him to get beaten up at all (which is perfectly valid, keep putting off the heel getting his comeuppance until it really matters), Vince would've been pissing his pants and looking embarassed and terrified. Because that's how the soulless corporate jackass should be behaving when the big damn hero wrecks his plans, not trying to salvage his own coolness.

I'm sure those 3 days out of the year he makes an appearance must be very exhausting for you.

I think he should go away too. It's not fair. Everyone in the company works hard, yet they can't get any traction because WWE seems to constantly be stuck in the past.

HHH really is that obnoxious kid that, when everybody is playing make-believe superhero, insists that he's the biggest and the strongest and is the leader and has every superpower imaginable.

To be honest, it would've been nice if WWE let some of the undercarders present the awards. Or if WWE feels that the past stars HAVE to be involved, why not let them come out ALONGSIDE an undercarder to give them a rub.
