imgur.com/a/dqwso#0These are always fun to read, figured I'd share since I haven't seen it posted here. Interesting comparing this to the 2000 script that was released a few days ago. Credit.

I love the note on page two, in all caps: "USE JUST ONE LINE, NOT 'TWINKIE TITS' BUT ANOTHER INSULT."

Right off the bat you can tell the glaring differences between the scripts during the Attitude Era and the scripts for shows today. In the thread posted the other day of a Raw script from 2000, the entire show fit into about 5-6 pages, with each promo segment maybe consisting of 2-3 general lines for each person (e.g. Austin wants to know who ran him over, doesn't trust Commissioner Foley).
Compare that to the Raw script above, which goes on for THIRTY PAGES! With the opening segment alone being meticulously planned out, with every word Paul Heyman and Vickie Guerrero say being written down beforehand. Quite sad really.

My neck started to hurt on the second one. I'll get to looking at these some other time.

The source link has a corrected version.
Also, I'm really curious as to what the script cue would be for the Wyatt Family's "DEH/DERP/DEATH" cuts would be.

A WWE Title-Free match? Why are they treating titles as if they are a part of our daily diet? I have no idea why "non-title" would not suffice.

Talk about micromanaged. That was ridiculous. Does anyone on this show have room to breath?

A WWE Title-Free match? Why are they treating titles as if they are a part of our daily diet? I have no idea why "non-title" would not suffice. Earlier this year, they experimented by calling non-title matches "Title Free" matches (there's a Kaitlyn/Natalya match where it's said roughly seven million times). It took them about two weeks to realize it was a dumb f***ing idea.

I love how the WWE thinks that they're producing a movie every week and script out everything. There's attention to detail and then there's micromanagement and this falls into the latter.

I've seen kindergarten plays that were written better than this script.

Talk about micromanaged. That was ridiculous. Does anyone on this show have room to breath? Even with promos being mapped out like that, I couldn't imagine everyone sticking exactly to how it's worded in scripts like that. If this is the episode of Raw I'm thinking of, John Cena in particular went way beyond what that promo says.

f***ing hell, they actually do write everything they say. That's just dumb. Like, does Paul Heyman really need to be told what to say exactly?

TBF, I'm sure that the top guys (Cena, Punk, HHH, etc.) can kinda go off-script and not follow it word for word but even what they have written is too much. We all know that Cena and Punk are great talkers. Don't hold their hands. Just give them a point or two that you really want them to hit and let them do their thing.

Yeah just finished reading this one. Rock was the only one without a scripted promo which was interesting, considering those word for word scripted promos are awful.

The best was calling the Del Rio match "WWE Title-Free" when he was the World Heavyweight Champion.
