Yeah, but more or less by default. I like some of the stuff they do else I obviously wouldn't watch it, plus sometimes the product is just so bad it's kind of endearing. But if there was competition, I doubt WWE would be my favorite company. I just can't see TNA and (especially) indies as an alternative to it at all. Indies are just so...cheap it doesn't even feel like they are trying. Like not even in a "Oh they don't have the right equipment" way but in a "I'm not sure they are even trying here" kind of way. I remember just a few weeks when a friend dragged me to see a new wrestling dvd that had come out and it seemed like the in-ring noise, the crowd and commentary all being captured by the same camera that was recording from really far away from the ring. I mean c'mon, really? That's not a matter of money. You could have gotten better production quality than that just by trying a bit.
The WWE may be ran by a lunatic, but it's a lunatic with audio-visual standards dammit.

*raises hand* TNA is shit, and indie companies are just that, indie. Same here. Don't get me wrong, I vastly prefer vintage stuff - NWA, '80s/early '90s WWF and WCW, Smoky Mountain, and really, just about anything else - to the current product, but I'm not a big enough fan of current wrestling that I'll end up watching something that I can't just turn on the TV and see.

I have always preferred WWE. The only time i watched WCW is if it was preempted or when they had the unopposed hour to watch. Right now nothing else is even close to it in production, in ring quality, or story lines. It is the NBA to other promotions D league.

Yes but kind of by default. I mean, I like the product quite a bit right now. The in ring stuff is always pretty dang good since almost everyone on the roster is a solid at worst worker, and the writing and plotting have been pretty good lately. I have frustrations here and there, but actually this past year may very well be the most I've ever been entertained by wrestling. But since it is basically the only company I regularlyish watch other than TNA, it technically is by default.
I will say that I strongly believe that if all was equal and every major indy and Japanese (I could not give two shits about lucha, also the puro stuff would have to be dubbed over with English commentary and subtitled promos probably) company had a weekly easy to access TV show with pretty good presentation and production values that a few of them would probably be outdoing WWE for me. PWG, Chikara (when its back), and NJPW stand out as companies that I'd probably be really interested in were they easy to access, and could probably outstrip WWE for me. Possibly Shimmer as well.

It's the only one I watch. But I don't think I'd be able to sustain an interest in Indy wrestling if I tried.

Of course. Even during the worst times, there's nothing that comes close to WWE.

Considering I watch wrestling more for entertainment than athleticism, I absolutely prefer WWE to anything else. TNA doesn't know what it wants to be, and the indies bore me to tears because almost every storyline is just a generic I DON'T LIKE YOU, I WANT YOUR BELT, LET'S HAVE A MATCH setup; they focus too much on the in-ring than the storytelling for me and their in-ring storytelling is just BAD. (Also I can't be bothered to watch Japanese matches).
So based on my personal tastes, WWE > Everything else.

Yes.
I'm not into international wrestling, I haven't watch or cared about TNA for months, and indie wrestling doesn't interest me in the slightest. Can WWE be bad? Sure. Is there time's that it was boring? Sure. But, they always find a way to pull me back in. Like take for instance this past Monday. It never crossed my mind about ordering TLC, not after the entire segment, I want to order it. I'm big fans of guy's like Cena, Bryan, Punk, Lesnar, Henry, Mysterio, Cesaro, The Shield. I enjoy the WWE as I enjoy a movie and/or television show. A lot of the backstage stuff about "who's burying who" and "who's taking who's spot" doesn't interest me. I watch WWE to be entertained, I watch to see good matches and good characters.

WWE isn't bad or such, it's quite consistent, you know for the most part what you're going to get.
It's just really f***ing stale.
I watched some Chikara and dug it alot, but it's too daunting and hard to follow storylinewise for a newcomer so I gave up.
I have th thanksgiving episode of impact on right now (I check TNA every now and then out of curiosity) - So far it's not bad, Dixies actually better on screen than I was expecting, the show is filmed and lighted better than WWE, just a shame they've started doing the invisible camera schtick backstage now, I preferred it when TNA did that weird voyeuristic style backstage deal where the camera man was hiddden behind a corner getting footage on the sly and where wrestlers would notice the camera and then sneak off in to a room and close the door and whatnot.
WWE wins not by default because despite moving along at a snails pace recently they still show flashes of the brilliance that made me a fan in the first place every now and then.

Yes, but it's by default. I'm wondering about people who like it best by choice, not by default. And you still can. Yes, but it's by default. Is there anything you actually like about WWE? Anything you think they have done right in the last few years? Any match, any show, any vignette? Why do you spend so much time and energy on something that clearly makes you miserable? I find that fascinating. Currently, I like Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, SHIELD, the Wyatts, AJ and Brock Lesnar when he shows up. They have done quite a lot of good matches, shows and vignettes over the past few years, usually revolving around the aforementioned people, but unfortunately it's all too rare. It really doesn't consume too much time or energy, nor does it cause misery.

Absolutely. Indies don't really do much for me and I really only enjoy TNA for how awful it is whenever I watch it. I tried watching NJPW since that's supposed to be the new cool thing but the language barrier was too much and the actual wrestling made no sense to me. I was on another board and people were praising one match for how awesome it was and the fighting spirit or whatever but it was just one kinda pudgy bald guy and a different guy just chopping and kicking each other and kicking out at one until one of them did like a DDT and the guy went down for a three-count. It was weird. I'm content with just sticking to the WWE.

I prefer it now. I can't stand TNA and I don't have the energy to try and follow NJPW or ROH. I will say that I will always be preferential to 1997 WCW, and that it's my favorite promotion ever.

I haven't watched any other wrestling promotion regularly since the Monday Night Wars, so yeah. I've watched TNA, but it just doesn't hold my interest. Never followed Japan or kept up with the other promotions.

Yeah, it's my favorite.
WWE has a consistent feel across the board that I really appreciate. It doesn't go off the rails over the top the way PWG can sometimes. It doesn't fall too in love with itself the way Chikara and ROH can. It's got better crowds than CZW. I have a better grasp on the characters, commentary and cultural context than I do NJPW. These are all companies I absolutely love.
Basically, in terms of that sort of strange sense of it's own identity, WWE is really consistent and I appreciate that. Not only that, but a lot of my favorite wrestlers are there: CM Punk, Orton, Bryan, Shield...just a ton of dude's I absolutely love and NXT is showing that the next crop will be just as good.
I can sit down and watch pretty much any wrestling with ease after a match or two. Just have to wrap my brain around the way the style works (PWG is more of a live show spectacle, NJPW tries to make it look more like a fight). With WWE, I've been conditioned over the years for that to be my default. Wrestling in 2013 is, nearly everywhere, pretty awesome.

WWE is so ridiculously ingrained into my life now, I genuinely can't imagine not watching it.
I've tried to watch TNA on a number of occasions but every time I do it's just appalling.
