I was just thinking about the titles and my mind went to the IC/US championships and for a couple minutes I completely forgot who the US champion was. It's still Ambrose right?

Yes. When was the last time he defended the belt? That's what I want to know.

The U.S. Championship has been lost on Ambrose mainly because the Shield gimmick is basically a tag team unit. The only good that come from Ambrose holding the title now is for when Ambrose loses it via Reigns and Rollins costing him the match. Though the good of that is only as a tool for breaking up the Shield and I'm not sure that's a good idea right now.
It's just a wasted reign.

They should focus Main Event around the US title seeing as not many countries outside of the US actually air Main Event.

Yes. When was the last time he defended the belt? That's what I want to know. I think it was against Big E, at Hell in a Cell. Even then I think that was because Axel was un-able to compete at the PPV. At this point I'm almost certain they are keeping it on Ambrose for Reigns to take.

They keep putting him in 6 man tags just because he's with the Shield but he's holding a SINGLES title so he should be forced to defend it by himself.
I too think they're just keeping the belt on him until Wrestlemania so Reigns or Rollins can get it.

The belt will dissolve into Ambrose's skin and he'll transform into Mr. America.
They're doing a slow burn, no doubt, but the payoff will be worth it.

I think they'll go with a unification match at Mania, Langston vs Ambrose.

Every midcarder champion ever: wins title, defends very few times, holds it for ages, randomly loses it to Kofi. Repeat cycle.

Yes. When was the last time he defended the belt? That's what I want to know. I think it was against Big E, at Hell in a Cell. It was actually the night after Hell in a Cell, also against Big E. Big E won via DQ due to Shield interference, the Usos ran in for the save, and it was turned into a six-man tag. I've also looked it up. Since Ambrose won the U.S. Title, he's defended the belt on TV 11 times (10 if you don't count NXT). May 24 (Smackdown) - Draw vs. Kofi Kingston May 27 (Raw) - Defeated Kofi Kingston June 16 (Payback) - Defeated Kane via countout June 17 (Raw) - Loses to Kane via DQ August 18 (Summerslam) - Loses to RVD via DQ September 15 (Night of Champions) - Defeated Dolph Ziggler September 27 (Smackdown) - Loses to Ziggler via DQ October 16 (Main Event) - Defeated Ziggler October 27 (Hell in a Cell) - Loses to Big E via countout October 28 (Raw) - Loses to Big E via DQ (NXT match was July 10 vs. Adrian Neville, which he lost via DQ) Not only has he barely defended the title, but he's 4-5-1 in title defenses (4-6-1 counting Neville). That's just sad.

I always thought it was pointless to have him win the US title. They should have freebirded the Tag titles, that would have kicked so much more ass.

He's probably just killing time until Reigns turns and beats him for the title.
