Since they had been building the company around him (or at least were obviously planning to) how do you think it would have affected the WWE and what would be different in WWE today?

I don't think JBL would have been champion.

Orton wouldn't have won the belt at Summerslam, instead they save that moment for Mania 21. Cena probably gets his mania moment but instead of beating JBL, he beats Brock.
JBL may be born but he's a mid carder for life. Batista may just be a mid carder and never get that push.

Better mic skills. Face of the company probably.

I really cannot imagine Lesnar as the face of the company, he just looks so much like a killer rather than a hero.

WrestleMania 21's main events would have been Lesnar vs. Cena for the WWE Championship, and Hunter vs. Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship.

I honestly think he would've underperformed and Cena would've ended up in his current spot around '05-'06 anyway, with Lesnar settling into the Batista role.
Brock's just not enough of a talker to really work as THE #1 guy in WWE.

I think he would've had multiple main event heel runs and then settled to an "attraction" role. I don't think it would've stopped John Cena's rise, but Batista might've turned out different.

Yeah, Cena was already on the rise to main eventer before Brock left... (hell his finishing move (name and setup) was due to his first title match against Brock) I see them trying to make Brock and Cena the mortal enemies... with the two of them feuding off and on rather consistently.

Lesnar would of been feuding with the Undertaker & throwing ancient dirt in his face, only so he can no-sell it & Tombstone him for the win. He'll eventually get thrown back into the title feud with Eddie - winning the belt from him at the Great American Bash - before going on into a rematch with the Undertaker at Summerslam for the title.

Cena would have still been face of the company. Brock would be number 2, but he'd be behind Cena. And a big reason is Cena is any company's PR dream.

I just can't really picture an instance where Brock stays. I just feel with the way the man is, he wouldn't have stuck around for much longer anyway. Maybe some things like Orton's title win get moved back, might mess slightly with Batista's and JBL's pushes, but I just don't see much changing.

If he had stayed, we can assume his attitude in this alternate universe is of someone who's hardworking, dedicated, and willing to fight through pain and stay on the road. So, that attitude combined with his skill? Dude would have been a legend. By now he'd have a career similar to Cenas, but probably bigger. Also, if Lesnar stays and becomes the face of the company, maybe the product is a bit more edgy to go along with the guy who's the real "main character" so to speak.

I really don't get this idea that somehow Brock was going to be ahead of Cena in the pecking order. It's like people forget that they were already pushing Brock down the card, in a sense, after his title match with Eddie. He was still a main event talent, sure, but he wasn't the unstoppable force he had been in the past booking wise.
Like others have suggested, I think Cena likely would've rose through the ranks much like he did, except beating Brock to cement himself most likely and Brock would've slipped into the #2 slot in the company. Maybe the #3, behind Triple H.
