Wrestlers who smoke

I know in the WWE Vince hates smokers so not many wrestlers smoke or if they do they keep it quiet.


Randy Orton was outside a house show once asking people for a cigarette, there are videos of this on youtube.


When R-Truth was a heel they got him the cheap heat by having him smoke indoors in the UK which is against the law (though it is exempt if it is part of a play or performance which WWE could and probably did claim as a way to avoid the fine - or perhaps they just paid the fine, Slash from Velvet Revolver for example keeps smoking during UK shows as he can afford to pay the 5 grand fine each night)



I think Big Show said he once smoked.

And The Undertaker chews tobbacco (during his American Bad Ass run he did it on screen a few times - Tommy Dreamer ate the spit at one point)

Alot of the old timers smoke Cigars when they are on Legends Of Wrestling Roundtable.

Not sure what other wrestlers smoke, can't be too many though as surely it would contribute to them getting gassed too early.

I think it was more common in the '70s and back, still fairly common in the '80s, and probably started decreasing in the '90s.

I know Ricky Morton smoked then and now. He told stories about his singles run with Flair, where Ric would see him smoking and tell him he needed to quit because, "I'm gonna blow your ass up tonight." Ricky said he responded, "Okay, Ric. I'll try to keep up." As recently as this August, I saw Ricky in the smoking area a few hours before the Rock n Roll Express wrestled on the Saturday night card at Fanfest.

I'm pretty sure Harley Race smoked during his career, and still does. Bobby Heenan smoked for a number of years.

There's pictures of some guys like Jack Swagger and Chris Jericho smoking cigarettes, but it's like night out situation and a lot of people have a few if they're drinking. Pack-a-day, habitual smokers...probably pretty damn rare these days in the wrestling world. Hell they're rare period, amongst younger, "wrestling age" people.

that was his gimmick for a while in WCW. he'd come out, light up a cig, and smoke it on the way to the ring. and during matches, instead of holding up his hand like he's signaling for a chokeslam, he'd hold up two fingers like he was holding a cigarette. then after the match, he'd have a victory smoke

You know you guys may be answer to this for me. I was at the 4/24/2000 Raw in Raleigh, NC at the wrestler entrance and out comes Triple H looking like he was smoking a cigarette or a doobie. Is anybody aware if he smokes?

I can't remember now who said it, but I remember someone telling a story about Rick Rude in the gym some time in the '80s, doing a workout that had other people stopping to watch and chain smoking the entire time.

I couldn't imagine that to be true. Hunter is a massive health freak. I'm pretty sure he's straight edge sans the tattoos and punk lifestyle.

I remember a few years back there was a story going around that one of the TNA Knockouts started smoking to try to keep her weight down so TNA wouldn't fire her. Did we ever get confirmation on who that was? (For reference, it wasn't Taeler Hendrix, this was before she started working for them).

There's a story in Sex, Lies and Headlocks that refers to Rick Rude smoking. The Dynamite Kid is/was also a smoker and makes frequent references to it in his book.
