I remember a few years back there was a story going around that one of the TNA Knockouts started smoking to try to keep her weight down so TNA wouldn't fire her. Did we ever get confirmation on who that was? (For reference, it wasn't Taeler Hendrix, this was before she started working for them). I think the story about execs wanting the women to smoke is BS... That being said, you'd be surprised by the number of people on the TNA roster that smoke. It's a lot. Samoa Joe smokes. Turkeys, chickens and ribs. |

JR smokes. Supposedly Benoit smoked as well. A bunch of dudes in Japan smoke. I noticed both JR and Pat Patterson smoke Marlboro's during Legends of Wrestling. And pretty much every wrestler in Japan smokes except Masato Tanaka according to an interview I read. I still remember seeing pics of Hayabusa smoking post injury. And Hido. And Atsushi Onita. Maybe just everyone in FMW except Tanaka. |

Ruckus lost a ton of weight by taking up smoking (or by making it a substitute for food). Raven smoked a joint with Stephanie McMahon, which is seemingly why Vince McMahon had beef with him before Raven (rightly) threatened to take him to court over abuse of the 'independent contractor' clause that is characteristic of major wrestling organizations like the WWF/WWE (How are you an 'independent contractor' if you are forbidden from wrestling for competing organizations)? I think you are mixing some details up, in that I think Shane was the one he partied with, which did not endear him to Vince, especially since they partied during Raven's Scotty Flamingo days, as well. As for the thread, if they are Asian, they probably smoke. Smoking is a very serious problem among Koreans and Japanese, to where virtually every adult man smoked for a while, but I think numbers have curbed somewhat. Many women smoke(d) too, but many of them hid it. |

I think you're right. I confused the story of Raven smoking weed with one of the McMahons with the story of Macho Man supposedly boning Stephanie McMahon. Both acts had the effect of angering Vinnie Mac. |
