I was thinking just now about how Daniel Bryan's big turning point was probably "18 seconds", after this the "yes" chant caught on and Daniel was more over than ever before.
Are there any more examples of Wrestlers getting over by losing?
All I can think of is Austin drawing with Bret Hart being one of the key moments in getting Austin over but I don't think that counts towards the criteria I just made up in my head.

People were eating up Jeff Hardy chasing the title back in 08 even though he kept coming up short.

There was a Priceless vs DX match that Priceless lost, I forget which one, but I remember thinking they looked really good despite losing.

Cena losing in his debut match to Kurt must've gotten him over.

This entire thread begins with Barry Horowitz. The man made a career of exactly this. He might not have been DB levels of over, but was over nonetheless.

So much this. Dolph is probably the only guy on the roster that actually climbed up the card by jobbing.

Razor Ramon was kind of directionless in 1993 until he lost to the 123 Kid.

Dolph was so good at making the other guy look like a million bucks that they moved him up the card to make higher profile opponents look good. I've heard it said before, he's the first guy to ever become a main eventer by jobbing.
