I don't know if I want kids when I'm older but I think I would prefer a boy for one reason - girls go through a lot more drama and bullshit. I'm a teenage girl and I sure know how cruel girls can be, I don't know how I would feel having a daughter and seeing her go through the same thing.

2 of each, please. My ex only wanted boys, and I found that extremely intimidating (Henry the 8th-esque, you know? What if my uterus only produces girls? It's not like I have any control over it...), but I think it'd be fun to have a mix of both. I only had a sister, and I think it took me longer to relate to and understand guys than it would've if I'd had a brother. And while I'm sure I'll change my mind after the first and decide that one child is enough, at the moment I have a desire for a big family... my family is very small, and I just really love the idea of a kid having a bunch of siblings that can all kind of look out for each other, teach each other things, demonstrate diverse personalities and interests so they don't get too narrow-minded, etc.

A son. Easier to bond with imo and I'd feel less protective of a son (somewhat sexist I know).

Son. I'm pretty protective.

I never, ever, not even remotely want a kid. But if I did, I guess I'd go with a son.

Whichever they are, I IMMEDIATELY want them on hormone supression therapy as soon as they're born so they'll be able to transition to the opposite as flawlessly as possible without developing traits that'd clearly mark them as their birth gender before they turn 14.
And don't you even dare think about criticizing their brave march towards progress and equality, you intolerant bigots.

I don't have a preference because I have an equal mount of potential fears and joys for each gender.
