Boys are awesome and all but I'd really like to have a girl.
Interacting with other peoples kids I've found girls have interests that are more fun to join in on as an adult. I can help with beads an hour straight but ten minutes on the soccer field (yes, I know girls play too) and I'm ready to put on a blindfold and run out on the interstate. Shopping for clothes would be more fun too with so much more to chose from.
So yeah, daughter.

My fiancée is pregnant with my 1st and I'd prefer a boy (her a girl) just our natural biases kicking in ha
Just figure if I have a boy easier to push my interest like superheroes, wrestling etc onto him (Notice I said easier, if I have a girl not saying its impossible ha)
Just a preference though, not particularly fussed just if I had to choose was all

I'd prefer a son, but would love either.

I'm not too picky. Obviously having a lad would be pretty cool, as I could get him into all the same stuff I'm into, can be all rough and tumble with him like my dad was with me. But that being said, having a girl would be a nice change of pace, as they tend to be more relaxed and controllable. I can see myself being really protective of my hypothetical daughter though.

It'd depend a lot on the feelings of the mother of the child, but I'd be happy to have either.

I think I'd be too paranoid over having a daughter, so I'd prefer a son. I'd love to have either, though. Though all my friends having kids are ending up with daughters, so maybe something's in the water in NJ.

I would be happy with either. Boys and girls have their own charm I would just hope that if I had a child that it wouldn't have health problems like how my life started out.

I did once have a drunken conversation with a few friends in which we decided what we'd call our kids if we had them. I think I decided on Lars and Aleksander, because I think they're pretty badass names.

Son. I'm a perv and it'd be awkward if my daughter grew up to be hot.

The thought of having either scares me stupid.

An asexual robot child that would be programmed to love me. I would treat it the same as I would a regular child and we would be happy forever. At least until I refuse to buy it spark plugs because it didn't finish all of it's robo-chores (or "chores" as we call them). The robo-child would begin to resent me eventually leading up to it killing me and conquering earth. All hail our new robo-overlord and it's divine wisdom.
But that wouldn't happen for at least a couple of weeks.

There's me, my dad, my mom and my brother so I would like to add a girl to the family.

I'd rather have a girl seeing how I lived with two older brothers.

I would love any child of mine no matter what. But I partially lean towards wanting a son, for personal reasons.
My great-grandfather abandoned my grandfather and left him to be raised in an orphanage.
My grandfather raised my dad growing up, but he was emotionally abusive, cheated on my grandmother, and ultimately reached a point where he and my dad broke off all contact.
My dad has done right by me and supported me throughout my life, and never done anything to hurt me, but he's always been distant, and even though I love him and see him all the time, there's something of a wall between us, and we're not too close emotionally.
My family was crappy at this whole "father-son relationship" thing for a long time, but we're getting better bit-by-bit over the past generation. Maybe I can be the first generation to finally pull off a loving, complete relationship with my own son.

Can't I have both! ? Like someone else said above, both genders have their charms. I would probably like to have a bunch of sons though, like a 2:1 ratio of sons to daughters, or something like that. I'm silly, because I actually have kept a semi-mental list of names I'd consider for children I'd have, if I ever do get some children of my own in the future.
EDIT: Also, once again I can tell I'm the last post of the page, like always.
