What doesn't help in making the winner unpredictable is all the news stories we get about WrestleMania plans, so everything's put in the perspective of "Well, they want that match to happen at WrestleMania, so this guy will win the Rumble".

Remember last year's Royal Rumble where even the commercials spelled out the fact that Cena would win? Though that had been obvious since Raw 1000, when Rock said he would challenge for the WWE Title at Rumble to set up Rock/Cena II: Time Number 2 in a Lifetime at Mania. |

Does the winner of the Big Show/Broccoli Lesnar match qualify for the Royal Rumble again? I hope so, I just want to see Lesnar in another Rumble match before he retires in a few years (whenever he stops accepting the new $$ contracts and then gets a legend/hof one I assume. As already known his current one goes to 31, which is great for me because my plans to go to Mania may actually work out next year to see him live one more time). He is just such a big name that you can promote for the Rumble match (if they add that stipulation/if he wins) that it will up the star power even more. They love to promote Rumbles as the most star studded ever, but with the part/full time roster/potential returns (both promoted and surprise)/Batista return they have the could really do one of the most name filled one's ever. |

Just recently cancelled my subscription to Sky Sports because I can't really afford it right now so won't be watching the Rumble this year. By the looks of the line up so far I won't be missing much.
