So, having been internetless for a little while... who are the rumoured 'surprise entrants' this year (other than Batista, obviously)?

For one thing, Jake "The Snake" Roberts is now a popular name for a "surprise Rumble entrant" after his appearance on Old School Raw.

If Brock Lesnar winds up being in the Royal Rumble match, I could see Batista eliminating him, causing Brock to go nuts & destroy him. That could be the start of the Lesnar/Batista match for Wrestlemania, if they're going that route.

Most likely a return or 2. I'm pretty sure Christian is cleared, so I could see him & maybe RVD, Sheamus or someone like that.

Those, along with Jake "The Snake" Roberts seem pretty good bets... anyone else in the frame (or that you'd like to be in the frame)? I still secretly harbour dreams of AJ Styles showing up as number 27, even though the odds on that would be somewhat astronomical, haha.

Sheamus is making his return at the Rumble, no doubt. Christian is probably coming back as well.

"We Own It" by Wiz Khalifa and 2 Chainz is the official theme song for the Rumble. Didn't someone predict this being the theme song?

I just want Tajiri as the fun surprise comedy (but yet badass) attitude era guy who hasn't been around for years....guy (and Brock vs Show being for a rumble spot...again: with Brock winning, Christian/Bourne confirmed returns for the Rumble in the go home show, Sheamus/Morrison surprise returns , Bryan entering at 1, Bryan eliminating Lesnar who is the 4th till last guy Brock pulling Bryan under the ropes and attacking him {ala Shawn/Angle} weakening him even more. Bryan goes onto win last eliminating Batista. The final 4 was Lesnar eliminated at 4, Punk being eliminated at 3, Batista at 2 and Bryan winning Brock wins WWE Championship in the Chamber match at the Elimination Chamber [he was last to enter from the pods thanks to the authority]. Heel New #1 Authority Guy [Orton has been replaced, I am sure that handshake with HHH means more than it looks when him and Heyman returned a few weeks back] Monster Giant Goliath vs Anti Authority Ultimate Badass Underdog Bryan now free from Wyatts after facing Bray at EC Last Man Standing Match for the WWE World Championship. You can easily do the rematch at Extreme Rules as Brock wouldn't need to be pinned and still look kind of strong while Bryan can still win/get the championship/his Mania moment *WM My Ideal world* Taker/Cena Bryan/Lesnar Batista/Punk HHH/Bray/Harper/Rowen vs Sheamus/RVD/Christian/Morrison (Sheamus/RVD/Christian/Morrison support anti Authority Rebels in return. Sheamus gets his Mania win back against HHH, Authority starts to break down after this loss and after Bryan wins the title later in the night ) Reigns vs Ambrose vs Rollins 10 Man HOF Over The Top Battle Royal (including Hulk, Piper, Jake Roberts, etc) AJ vs Paige vs Mickie James Divas Title 6 or 8 man MITB TLC (briefcase hung just like any MITB/TLC match.) The match now opens up to more spots and is important as it is the One Time Only Return To Mania 3 Team Tornado Tag for Tag Titles Rhodes vs Goldust *make it 4.5 to 5 hours like XX. It is worthy of it*) It has the potential to be truly epic if they want it to be. As I said a few pages back I just hope they utilise a very athletic roster by actually doing some original eliminations other than a guy being thrown over normally. I have probably asked for way too much but I don't give a f***

In regards to the whole Bryan/Wyatts thing, I posted this roadmap to the Rumble in another thread for how I'd want the angle to play out: Next Week - Monday on Raw, Bray & Bryan team up vs. the Usos. They win, of course. However, instead of a post-match beatdown, Bryan tells Bray that the Usos have "suffered enough", and has the Family leave the ring without beating up the Usos even further. It's played up as Bryan apparently using mind games in terms of leaving the Usos' psyche a bit worse for wear, but it could be also seen as a hint that maybe that the "old" Daniel Bryan isn't gone forever. This is also the first we'd hear from Bray regarding a "great sacrifice" Bryan must make in order to truly prove himself as one of The Family. - On SmackDown, Wyatt again continues alluding to the "great sacrifice", as we have Bryan competing in singles action for the first time as a Wyatt Family follower. He wins, and is joined by Rowan and Harper. Once again, Bryan tries to say that he'll beat up his foe alone, but Rowan and Harper refuse to listen, instead performing a beatdown on Bryan's defeated foe. Week of 1/20 - On Raw, Bray says that the time has almost come for Bryan to make the "great sacrifice". That night, it's a six-man tag match with Bryan, Rowan, and Harper vs. the Usos and (fill it in with any face you'd like). It degenerates into an all out brawl, and it becomes a no contest. In an interesting spot, Bryan tries to kick one of the faces, but ends up hitting Bray by accident (or "accident"?). Naturally, Rowan & Harper are none too pleased and stare off with Bryan, but no one comes to blows. - On SmackDown, we once again get another Wyatt promo regarding the "great sacrifice", this time with Bray saying that Sister Abigail has talked to him, and told him that Daniel Bryan's final rite of passage shall come on Sunday. The announcers are speculating on what exactly it could be. Again, Bryan cuts a promo about how we're believing in lies, but this time, it's apparent that he's referring to fans believing that he's truly a Wyatt. Royal Rumble - At the Rumble, the entire Wyatt Family enters the Rumble, and it's apparent that they're dominating. They even make up part of the Final Ten. However, we soon learn of the "great sacrifice" Bray has been going on and on about: He wants Bryan to eliminate himself from the Rumble as a final offering to Sister Abigail or whatever. However, Bryan refuses, and soon enough, Bray sends Harper and Rowan after him. Bryan eliminates the two of them, then he finally reveals his plan as he goes postal on Bray (removing his Wyatt gear in the process) thus ending the angle. Post-Rumble Raw (Epilogue) - After winning the Royal Rumble, Bryan reveals that he never really bought into what Bray Wyatt was talking about, and was playing some mind games of his own to get close enough to Bray and take him down. He does, however, admit that he's learned some aggression from his time with the Wyatts, and that he's only going to use it to achieve his goals as his determination has now intensified. As for the Wyatt Family, they move on to a feud with John Cena (or at least begin planting the seeds for it). In this case, Bray would see Cena as the face of the "machine" that he's been talking about, and that he and The Family will bring down the "machine" by taking out Cena. This way, we won't have Cena fighting for Bryan's honor or to save Bryan from the Wyatts as everyone fears.

I could be wrong, but wouldn't they usually have announced more entrants by now? Only two episodes of Raw left.

Don't worry, the ending to next weeks show will end with about 20 guys brawling in the ring while Cole talks about how it's every man for himself this Sunday and then Batista's music will hit and he'll clear the ring.
