If someone like The Great Khali is in the Rumble. I could see Reigns getting the "Holy shit" elimination by lifting him and throwing him out. "Holy crap, Reigns just did something Beth Phoenix already did several years ago!"

I'm not suggesting he kisses Khali

They'll have Ambrose clear the ring when suddenly Andre the Giant's ghost comes seeking revenge for his trash-talk. He tosses Ambrose easily then Reigns eliminates Andre's ghost.

So let's say they do something stupid and have Cena beat Orton clean as a whistle at the Rumble. Then while he's celebrating with both belts Trips comes out to rain on his parade. He states that Cena's rematch was only for the belt he lost, thus Randy Orton is still WWE Champion, and our new World Heavyweight Champion is John Cena.
So on a scale between "1" to "OH MY GAHD, YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!" how angry would you be?

Yeah, the World title is basically meaningless, but at least it gives some top guys who'd otherwise be doing nothing something to do and is at least something someone like Ziggler can gun for. Then again, that'd lead to Cena / Orton again at Elimination Chamber, and if that happened then presumably one of them would have to lose their title which would lead to the other one getting their rematch and... Yeah. Maybe it's not worth it.

I almost think that Punk will be the catalyst in Shield's elimination, to perhaps end his "feud" with them. So CM Punk channels John Cena from the 2011 Royal Rumble when he single-handedly eliminated every member of the New Nexus.

It means the likes of Ziggler/Bryan/Sandow/Langston stand a chance of breaking the glass ceiling while Lesnar + Batista + Cena + HHH + Orton control the droll "main events".

I hope that during the Rumble, there is a clash between the Shield and the Wyatt Family!

If Punk wins the Rumble, I can see something like this happening:
Kane announces that the Authority is proud of CM Punk for winning the Rumble, so proud that they know he won't have a problem fighting to keep his WrestleMania main event so he puts Punk in a 5 on 1 Elimination Chamber Match against The Shield/New Age Outlaws. It could further drive the stake between the Shield and actually split them (maybe even have Reigns side with Punk when he sees the injustice).
It is either Punk or Bryan winning the Rumble, hands down!

To be fair on that, Khali eliminated Husky Harris, and it was pretty fluky how Cena managed to go through them. They beat him down like with the others and Cena just happened to catch an opening.

If they win a belt that doesn't matter and does squat to get them in main event positions, are they really breaking the glass ceiling?

It is still interesting that WWE has barely said anything regarding a purported concussion for Bryan.

It is still interesting that WWE has barely said anything regarding a purported concussion for Bryan. I take it as a good sign. If it were serious, they'd probably announce it, and say he'd be out for a few weeks. I'm hoping this means that they'll just keep him from wrestling until the Rumble, while staying quiet about the concussion, so as not to worry fans.

They don't want to announce it and piss people off so they're keeping it quiet hoping that he can compete. Either way Bryan hasn't even been announced for the Rumble yet so who knows at this rate

The fact that they haven't said a peep whatsoever interests me.

Someone ease my mind and convince me that there's no chance that Batista or Sheamus win this thing. Please?

Sheamus is definitely not winning. In my estimation, there is no chance in hell that Batista wins the Rumble.
