There were musical albums released this year (I know, shocking). Here's a place to vote on which album of 2013 is the best. I placed the top 6 albums Metacritic listed as aggregated from various sources' lists of albums. You're free to make your own decision, though. However, Megadeth's Super Collider is a bad pick.

Somewhere between Nine Inch Nails' "Hesitation Marks" and Gary Numan's "Splinter (Songs from a Broken Mind)" is my favorite album this year.

Until Barbarian Overlords release their new album in the coming weeks, I'm going with David Bowies "The Next Day".

On that list, Arctic Monkey's & Lorde's albums were fantastic.
Aside from that I loved BASTILLE, Eminem, CHVRCHES and Panic! At The Disco's new sets too

My Bloody Valentine - m b v
It took 22 years, but Kevin Shields finally delivered the follow-up to what is one of my favourite albums of all time, "Loveless". Even more surprising than "m b v" actually surfacing at all was the fact that it was really, really good.

Of the choices Daft Punk easily.
Other ones I've listened to pretty constantly that came out this year, Hesitation Marks by NiN and Nanobots by They Might Be Giants.

Since most of the albums I bought this year were Pop, I'll have to go with my best Pop album which is "Bangerz" by Miley Cyrus. I bought it expecting nothing, and what I got was an album full of great Pop songs that legitimately surprised me.
Of the list, though, I'd have to pick "Pure Heroine". Lorde is a really special talent and her debut is nothing but solid.

I'll second Bastille's Bad Blood album. Some really good stuff on there.
