I'm glad he namedropped A Boy And His Blob...that game is pretty damn fun. People bitch and moan simply because they don't know what to do or where to go. I'm sure if you didn't tell them what they were playing, they'd probably bitch about Legend of Zelda as well. I love this game.
He was a bit harsh on the Three Stooges. Is it a great game? No. But it has it's charm. Some of the mini games are fun, but I do agree about the 2 he stressed the most. The only problem with the game is how f***ing hard it is! You'll never get enough money to save the orphans or marry the three girls. I played damn near flawlessly and only got about half of what I needed to get the good ending.
Also, when he was complaining about bad SNES games...I wish he didn't mention Super 3D Noah's Ark. Yes, it's a complete and total Wolfenstein ripoff (thanks to the designers giving them the developer's code), however there's nothing truly wrong with the game itself. The controls are responsive, the levels are fully designed and it's not too difficult to beat. Yes, the animal noises are annoying, but that's hardly a problem when I can make the same claim about a lot of early 3D games.
Finally, Maximum Carnage kicks all sorts of ass. Yes, LJN did make a few good games. WWF Royal Rumble was also a great game...probably the first "good" WWF game.

Has he really never played a good Spider-Man game? I thought the first PSX Spider-Man was considered one of those essential Playstation games?

Im surprised he didnt put Sonic 3d Blast in with the rest of the "bad" sonic games as that game isnt very fondly remembered (of course, he did cover Sonic Labyrinth which is similar in style, only worse).

Yeah, Maximum Carnage, albeit hard, was actually pretty dang fun and the Green Jelly soundtrack is phenomenal.
Separation Anxiety on the other hand...

Actually, I liked Separation Anxiety over Maximum Carnage. Maximum Carnage was insanely difficult with no cheat codes or options to make the game any easier. Also, it was BEGGING to be multi-player...in the original story Spidey teams with over a dozen super heroes to fight Carnage and his crew. In this, all the extra characters were just "helpers" you could summon by getting special token things. It would have been awesome to have a buddy sit down and play with. In Separation, Venom and Spidey can both play which, IMO, is more fun.

I don't remember seperation anxiety being that bad.
Maximum carnage was better but it has been a while since I played it... and me and my friend were massive Spider-man marks at the time.

Sonic '06 was shitty, but the soundtrack is damn good. "His World" is probably the one song with the least cheesy lyrics of any vocal Sonic tune.
