Didn't you see the ratings for Superstars last week? The ratings tanked when Ryder came on.
Although it doesn't help that Santino is acting like his big brother doing all the talking for him.

Ryder sucks. I don't know what some people see in him, He is not charismatic, He can't wrestle, and His Jersey Shore schtick is old.

It's because WWE is afraid to put themselves out there. They've been hurt a few times in the past, Stone Cold, The Rock. They opened their hearts to those guys, and they left. Sure, WWE did push them away a little; but it still hurt when they left. They're just afraid that Zach Ryder will do the same. If Ryder shows that he there for the long haul, then I'm sure WWE will be able to love and commit again.

He was pretty much forced to retire because of his neck.

Because he's not very good at anything. He's ok at lots of things, but he's not above average in anything. Hell he overachieved when they gave him the US title.

Because he went outside the company to push himself, and it worked.
Had they not realized that this could translate to merch sales, he'd be gone by now as well as depushed into the lowcard.

I gotta agree with this, as someone who was a Ryder fan, went to the same community college he did, and lives 10 minutes away from him. He's my hometown boy, but if the WWE was structured the same way it was before the Monday Night Wars, he'd be the Brooklyn Brawler of this generation. Well, even more than he is now.
