In PWG Steen was phenomenal, pulling off moves like 450 splashes and all that, it was his feud with Super Dragon that made me an, at the time, Steen fan, but now I'd go as far as to say he's over-rated, not massively over-rated, but I think he gets way too much credit for his promos, which from what I've seen, has just consisted of swearing, I know that Steen probably had a good reason to eliminate the high flying moves from his repertoire but it would be cool to see him bust them out once in a Supercard event.

So wait because he stopped doing as many high-flying moves, he's over-rated now?

He's probably my favourite guy on the indie's. Hell for a good portion of 2010 he was probably my favourite guy in wrestling, period. I never got the thought process of swearing in promos = a bad promo guy. Promos with swearing in can be good and Steen certainly proves that. At worst it makes you limited (if you can only cut good promos whilst swearing), but I've seen Steen cut great promos without swearing so I don't really even see him as limited. I don't care about the lack of high flying moves. He still does the Swanton and occasional frog splash (sometimes he even manages to hit them!) and I feel his all round game has improved from when he was doing all the high-flying stuff. The guy is overweight, undoubtedly, but he still puts on great matches. Sure, I'd prefer him to get in better shape (like he was at the beginning of 2011 in PWG when he'd lost all that weight) because I think it would put less strain on his body and probably lead to him being even better than he is already but I understand why he doesn't get back in shape. And hey, who am I to judge, he puts on a hell of a show on every single show I've ever seen him on - so I've got no real grounds for complaint.

Going off of his match vs. ACH at the last PWG show, he's certainly lost stamina.

Steen has said many times that it was Super Dragon's style he ended up adapting. So now that he's gained more weight, he's become a shit-talking brawler. In PWG he plays with the crowd a lot and is the bigger guy in most matches. I say he's way more entertaining now (meaning since 2009 or so) than he was early on.

He's a mega heel now right? I know guys like Lance Storm stop doing high flying/crowd pleasing moves when they are heel because they don't want the crowd cheering them.

Sorry, yeah, no, I prefer modern Steen over spot monkey Steen. I definitely feel like he's become a more solid, well rounded talent over the years and with experience has grown from a good talent to a great talent. Promos included in that.

I prefer him not being very highflying, but I do wish he'd lose a little weight, for his own sake.

Kevin Steen looks like a cross between Bobby Roode and Tugboat.

I like Kevin Steen. Seeing him or hearing him makes me happy. Agreed...I am a huge fan of his. The Kevin Steen Show, Weekend Escapades, etc... I've gotten to talk to him at a couple of shows and he is a really nice guy.
